Edited by: Lygos on 06/01/2006 03:22:34 How long have you subscribed. Going by a kind of average lag, EVE's current trajectory on latency is still continuously going down. Some scattered systems experience a bit of lag and you feel it because mechanics revolve around constantly zoning for some reason.
I get a nice little wait whenever I cross through shedoo or some random system, and maybe a few seconds worth when I try to access an cargo hanger full of hundreds of mods at a massively cluttered POS or something. Other than that, don't visit Rens or the systems around Rens.
The thing about all those pvpers out in low sec, you don't pay them to not shoot you, because you can secure that for free. Rather, you pay them so you don't have to log in order to wait them out. Basically, you are just getting griefed for free by staying in Empire and especially in the hubs and waiting for your stuck petition to resolve.

im sure i read somewhere that mixed groups of systems are housed on the servers. the result being that you could be in an empty 0.0 system that lives on a serve that also hosts sobeseki and its 300 or so agent runners. end result apparent lag for no reason.
I dont it matters where you live, UI bugs, market issues and a ever growing player base equals lag regardless of system.
i scincerly hope there is something to be done to help with this but not being a technonerd i have no clue what would help.

Pretty tired of seeing the "I'm not affected so neither are you" mentality.
I'm not the only one being affected. And for those people that keep telling me to get out of Empire...I'm not in Empire space. I don't go anywhere near it, because my lag just increases.
My system is fine, as is my DSL connection to the internet. Wake up and realize that just because it doesn't affect you, that doesn't mean it's not affecting others.

Holy crap, go play Star Wars Galaxies & log into Coronet not facing straight down. now if youve taken the precaution of muting all channels that can be spammed in local you might be able to move in 5 minutes or so.
MMO's lag in popular regions, DONT GO THERE games are about playing & adventure its hard to adventure in the awesome unexplored area of Jita oh wait theres 300 people there :p The perversity of the Universe tends towards a maximum - O'Toole's Corollary of Finagle's Law |

Oh look, here's another thread about lag.
Yes, there's lag in crowded systems. There's also lag in systems with about 4 people in Local.
/sarcasm on Should I move to Jita or 0.0 to fix this? Please, feel free to recommend based on your personal agendas - that's always helpful. /sarcasm off
