So the Archon has Shield transfer range bonus....
Not very Amarr-like... is it? 
If it's to use shield transfer to boost it's fighters it's kinda counterproductive, as amarr fighters have high armor (not that it can't use others, but you get my point  )
Could say the same thing about Thanatos having a shield transfer range bonus as well, but it also has the armor transfer range bonus so I guess that's ok.
Watcha all think?

ermm do u only repair amarr or gallente ships with your carrier ?
it is to repair all kinds of ships even the shield tankers
edit: and to clarify it gets energy and shield bonus. and ususally the amarr have their armor repper fitted

Yes ofcourse I know that duh
But since several peeps like to roleplay a bit, it seems out of place to get shield related things on an amarr ship... Testament to this is that no other amarr ship has any shield related bonus
I believe the shield bonus should be changed to armor...

and give the caldari carrier a fighter dmg bonus not gal, its caldari thats meant to specialise in fighters

The caldaris are also the shield's specialists and they have a shield bonus. So all is fine...

back in the war caldari used fighters, but its gallente who are the big drone buffs and fighters fall under the drone category so you be quiet!!! : P

It's true actually. According to the backstory we currently have (cos y'know the details seem to change daily) during the Caldari/Gallente War the Caldari developed Fighters as a counter to the Gallentes Battleships (Which were virtually the only type of ship they had at the time). As such they also invented the Carrier class ship to transport Fighters and support them.
The Gallente were completely unable to combat the Fighters but started to use Mines fitted with simple guidance systems and engines at strategic locations. The mines proved successful and eventually evolved into Drones. In response to the drone threat the Caldari built slightly bigger Fighters with multiple crew and longer range weapons. These were called Frigates.
So despite the obvious similarities and shared skill group: Fighters != Drones

I'm completely prepaired to believe that while the Caldari may have invented them the Gallente might have mastered them what with their masses of drone experience between then and now.
Doesn't realy bother me either way.
Also it does seem strange that the Amaar carrier has a shield transfer bonus rather than remote armour repair. If only for reasons of consistency.

I like Eve's sense of uniqueness of races, as subtle as it is since overall not many seem to care what race ship they'll fly as long as it suits their needs.

The old Caldari Fighters and the Gallante drone Fighters are really two different ship classes.
The main difference is Caldari Fighters have pilots in so they are not drones. While Gallante are the masters of drones. Drones are basically just ships without pilots. Also I believe the current drone Fighters compare firepower and speed wise to cruisers. While pilot based Fighters will need life support systems, gravity systems e.c.t so have less firepower and speed and are more frigate level.

Hmmm, I didn't notice this. I thought all carrier had shield and armor bonus for remote repairing.

I only checked out the bonus of the Minmatar one since it's the only one i'd be able to fly if i trained for it. And oh, minmatar carrier 4tw.
COUGH maybe the Archon is a khanid carrier
