I wonder how useful are carriers vs 150km away warpin/warpout encounters... probably not much better than domi.
Who cares if fighters are following. Just jump out:)

As i said, those that embrace the new nuances of fleet warfare, engage in meaningful tactical discussion, and develop a healthy understanding of the way things will work, will prosper, those that don't will get left behind.

If motherships are immune to all EW, does that include warp scramblers as these are under the umbrella of EW?

So how much damage do a dread dish out? Lets say against a bs at optimal range.

If the BS isn't moving or webbed/painted zillions of times, enough to kill it in a few seconds. Otherwise, none at all.

Target painters and webbies are a dreads best friend versus BS. A support-heavy fleet set up correctly with a few dreads can wipe out large numbers of BS quickly... if you can organize it corectly (webbing/painting the right targets etc, not easy with 10km web range).
Oh and they're quite good at soaking up lots of damage. In one fight in AZN I remember we had a revelation tanking... large numbers of battleships. Quite handy that

IMO I think Titans are gonna own the battlefield in large fleet warfare. Lets face it.. they got more much more armor and shield, more hardpoints, plus all the joy's of a mothership (docking bay, vet bay).
A fleet with a titan as its flagship and a heavy bs support or possibly a dread, with perhaps a carrier to transfer shield or armor the possiblilities are endless. The carrier can just sit back and heal the titan as it tanks massive amounts of punishment whistil dishing it out with is many highslots. Switch the carrier with a mothership and you not only have a healer/drone fighter but now you have another place for your dead bs escort to respawn and get back into the frey.
Not to mention when the going gets tough there's always that big red button (the dooms day module that can destroy anything in space just short of a dread). Dispite the massive cost and upkeep These will rule the battlefield. It will take a very large fleet with multiple dreads to take one of those down.
As dreads becoming a major in blob fleet battles on a smaller scale (as not many ppl will boast a titan in combat) i doubt they will have a tremendus affect unless carriers/mother ships will play an active role in the fleet during combat, as they dont need to in order to be effective. Just safe spot your fleet assign drones (as they follow their controler/prey in warp) have the fleet warp to the battle have the drones assigned to ppl via the new controlers and now the enemy can feel the carriers presence with out actualy having to risk the ship. And now if your ships gets destroyed you can just fly back to the carrier at the safespot refit and get back into the fight. (if any fighters had been lost he can reasign them to he pilot). Very effective without actualy risking your capitol ship.
So overall, i doubt they will be very usuful unless in defence/attack of a pos, or extreamly pricy blob battles wich i doubt will occur often as not many alliance want to lose their precius titan.

Umm... can titans go into siege mode like the dreads?
Cause if you disregard the doomsday device that will only be used in very special circumstances, they would have less firepower than a dread (in siege mode)... which doesn't seem right

No Titans cant go into seige mode (one thing that makes dreads still worth buying). However the fact that they have nearly twice as many sheild armor and hull as a dread makes up for its lack of sheer power. (wich is not to be underestimated as it is still tremendous)

not to forget that titan cant be affected by warpscrambling modules

You seem to forget that no siege mode = no uber tanking. Titans/motherships are nifty yes. But to say they'll be able to tank better than dreads is most likely wrong.

I wouldnt be so sure about that... on sisi a gallente mothership+carrier with max skills. Had 2 capital armor reps, 3x gang mods and 3 capital remote armor reps. The carrier had 2 capital remote armor reps. Both of them EASILY tanked 6 dreadnoughts in siege mode + 50 BS indefinitely. He only blew up I guess when the BHs got bored and turned their reps off (I was scanning him and his cap was holding easily) and they easily tanked us for over 40+ minutes. Having effectively 5 capital armor repairers on each ship is way more than a dread can tank in siege mode.
A single carrier by itself no, but you cannot remote rep dreads while in siege mode whereas carriers/motherships/titans can remote rep each other over vast distances and huge ammounts thus changing the comparision entirely.

Of course, a few BS nosing them at close range would quickly neutralise any kind of tank..

Today, 2 megathrons and 1 taranis engaged our fleet which had Dread support (which they didn't know hehehehe)... needless to say once megathron was tackled he was on structure within 1 activation of dread. Next activation his ship was out of control.
dreads are just nice toys in fleet, unless you can truely pilot them to their fullest you shouldn't use them in fleet engagements.
