Or how about a slight variation:
High: 5 x Electron II, 1 x Med NOS II, 1 x Neut Med: 10 MN MWD II, Med Cap Booster II(400s), scram, tracking disrupter Low: 1/2 Med Repper II, 2 x active/2 x nano II, 800 steel plate II
Drones: 10 x light (5 x Warrior II, 5 x Acolyte II)
All above with skills permitting could be a different way to go.

Not bad at all, think i might give'r a shot, though i'd still go with a web over a tracking disruptor if still using blasters. Cap booster 2 is nice b/c it will hold 3 400 size charges if im not mistaken? If it doesnt then still better to go with an electrochem and 800 size charge b/c of the firing and reload times. And if power is tight then instead of a 2nd med t2 rep just toss a small t2 on in its place if u wanna use a T2 800mm plate.

Not sure if i made it clear, but the Neut should be a medium sized one if grid allows. Then activate the neut, manual cycle only , before the nos to keep his cap down.
The cap boosters are just for your armour reppers, which you should be able to run 1 on full auto and the other on manual.
If the drain is too high or grid too tight, then swap out 1 med repper for a small II as you said.
I just tried this fit on my Brutix just now with the following:
High: 5 x Heavy Electron I, 1 Med Knave Nos, 1 x Med Neut Med: AB II, Med Cap Booster II, Webber, Tracking Comp Low: Med + Small repper II, 2 x active II, 800 I.
I have 531.25 CPU and used 407.50, and 1437.50 Grid and used 1433.00. Talk about tight but it squeezed in alright.
I could swap in another med repper, but then I'd have to choose between a med nos or med neut. If i was pushed, then I'd choose a small nos and keep the med neut.
To maintain a good cap recharge with dual reppers I really think that you not only need Energy Systems Operations at lvl 5, but also Energy Management too.
Further to make the reppers even more effective, then BC lvl 5 is a must.
BC at lvl 5 will give your med repper 447.2 hp every 9 seconds, and your small repper 111.8 every 4.5 seconds, or 223.6 every 9 seconds.
So a total of 447.2 + 223.6 = 670.8/9 = 74.53 hp repaired every second using medium and small reppers.
With 2 x med reppers: 447.2 x 2 = 894.4/9 = 99.37 hp/s.
The choice, as they say, is yours.
Give me an Astarte with 6 low slots and a grid of 1450 base please, i want to do some serious damage

1. 1600mm plates don't add THAT much to a battlecruiser, greatly reduce speed and gimps the rest of your fitting potential for the 7 high slots. 2. No. Its just that some of us have medium blaster spec and have every intention of using them. Using tech 1 will allow different fittings due to lesser cpu and grid requirements, but tech 2 has that nice extra damage potential.

If you really need to use a plate then go for an 800 Tech II and that's all. With the increased repair bonus you really shouldn't need to use a 1600 plate.
If you find you're having trouble with some missions/spawns/pvp then go for a dual repper setup that i described above.
1 med and 1 small should be more than sufficient for pvp to leave you enough grid for an 800 tech II and 7 ion IIs.
What you really need more than anything is to get BC skill to lvl 5 and then for the most part 1 med repper will give you all you need.
Just try different combinations with and without the 1600 plate and see how much mass it adds to your ship .
That's why we don't use it....
Enjoy

Fly a Thorax and then just base your Brutix setup around that. If you find the Thorax lacking in cap, fit extra cap rechargers/cap relays/whatever. If you need more tanking then fit extra reps or hardeners.
Also, train your drone skills up, they'll help your setup a lot, especially when you finish drones lvl5 and start training 'drone interfacing' up. Also, BC and medium hybrid both at lvl4 help a lot too.

5x T2 150mm Rails, 2x Med NOS 1x MWD, 1x Scram, 1x Web, 1x Booster 1x MARII, 1x Kinetic Hardner, 1x Explosive Hardner, 1x Therm Harnder, 1x 800mm Plate
This will give you over 4000 points in armour and on average of 60% resists on the 3 dmg types.
You *could* change the cap booster for a jammer, which could be fun too.

Go for dual 150mm, the last thing you want is a couple of inties taking you down outside of blaster range.

T2 isn't needed at all, you could bump it all down to T1 unnamed and be perfectly fine cpu/powergrid wise, probably not even needing adv weap trained to 1, I just posted it as a T2 setup for maximum damage output and for those who train for and like to use T2 equipment.

Dude, Im not sure how good your skills are but I know that in my Brutix with my skills I can fit 7 x Dual 150s in the high with a 1600 plate in the low with a pdu no problem.
I can't see any reason why you would want to use frig guns and give up the damage bonus.
Just so you know with my skills and a Tungsten plate I have over 8k armour.
How you ask?
Simple:
A) Hull Upgrades lvl 5 (for armour), Mechanic lvl 5 (for hull), Repair systems lvl 5 (for repper)
B) Then use a Nano regenerative Tech II and a Tungsten plate which gives me exactly:
Base armour = 3516 Tungsten plate = 3360 x 1.25(hull upgrades) = 4200 Energised Nano Regenerative Tech II = 15% Total = (3516 + 4200) x 1.15 = 8873.4 hp
All this armour and i'm still using medium guns on the top.
I simply would urge you to look at which skills may require some attention as you can see my setup has twice the armour yours does.
Full possible pre/post RMR setup:
High: 7 x dual 150 Compressed coils Med: AB II, webber, tracking comp II, Cap recharger Low: Med repper II, Nano Regen II, pdu II, 1600 tungsten, nano adaptive II/mag stab II Drones: 10 light.
I no longer use the 1600 plate as it renders the Brutix as fast as a tortiose.
800 Tech II is flavour or the month.

Using the 1600 does add a huge amount of mass to your ship but doesn't increase your signature radius.
Larger shield extenders now add sig rad pen however.
That's why I said it makes the Brutix as fast as a tortoise and hence my choice for an 800 plate.

Today i did an 1v1 duel against a corpmate who had a Raven. I had a blaster setup on my brutix with nos and cap booster so i didn't have cap problems. But i couldn't tank his damage for long even with 2x med rep Is running. I know i have to train for med rep IIs and high BC skill. But my questions is about armor resists. I had 3 exp hardeners and as it turns out that was pretty stupid because torps and cruise missiles can deal various types of damage. After the fight he told me that he had kin/thermal/exp damage. So when facing a Raven (or any other torp/cruise missile using ship) what would be the optimal hardener setup? going for 1 exp/kin/thermal each?

You should be using resists for all 3 dmg types, don't over specialize, over specialise and you breed in weakness

If you know who you're facing then your choices become easier to make. Let's asume your opponent will be a Caldari Moa/Eagle who use hybrid rails.
Easy since their damage is thermal/kinetic, so just slap on 2 active hardners 1 of each type.
If you don't know who your opponent is then you must tank your weakest resist, which for most ships including a Brutix is explosive.
If you use 1 active explosive hardner you can raise the explosive resist up to 10 + (0.5 x 90) = 55%.
Next you can then decide to use 2 x nano II, or again go with an active for each thermal and kinetic. Personally I go for explosive and 2 x nano, but my current setups dictate how i fit since i have reasonable cap and BC skills.
In any case you DON'T want to go up against a a Raven spewing cruise missiles at you, it's simply suicide and you'll not survive the burst damage from a few volleys of cruise missiles, let alone torps even with a dual repper setup and good skills.
Don't forget that in order to survive burst damage you also need a plate of substantial size, at least 800 Tech II, but 3 hardners, a plate and a med repper II won't allow you to survive against a fully fitted Raven. It's a simple no go.
Have fun if you successfully beat a Raven in your Brutix though

Two of my setups:
"Ion gank"
high: 7 med ion blasters
med: 1 10NM MWD 1 Warp scrambler/disruptor 1 Web 1 Med cap booster(4x 200)
low: 1 RCU 1 Med AR t1(not enough PG for t2) 3 MFS
Drones of your choice...
Not that much of a tank...but 194.886 dps Hope its enough to kill them before they kill me.
More balances:
high: 7 Med Electrons t1
med: 1 10NM MWD t1 1 Warp scrambler/disruptor t1 1 Web t1 1 Med cap booster(4x 200) t1
low: 2 med AR t2 1 armor explosive hardner t1 1 Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane t1 1 MFS t1
Can tank for as long as i have cap booster and 156 dps.
any comments?

I tanked a PvP Gang of 5 Intys with that setup for arround 15 minutes. then my cap ran dry. Wouldn't have happened with a Cap recharger instead of Sensor Booster....
With 7 200mm it can be a really scary Railix-Monster-Boat, too. At least i heared good stuff about 200mm vs Both, Frigs and Cruisers

That's the killmail and Brutix is very very underrated in my opinion. I just have 3.4m SP on Nyobe and my gunnery skills REALLY suck. Anyways they did a nice hit and run (not hard with 5 intys hehe) so i just shot shield and some amor off...
I have BC skill at 4 so far and the Med repper is almost like a large repper
Next Brutix will be fitted without Sensor Booster but with 7x 200mm (if it fits). I am still quite unexperienced in pvp tho

Was playing around with unusual setups and ended up with:
H: 7 x Heavy Neutrons M: 10mn MWN, Web, 2 x 20k scrams. L: Small T2 rep, explosive hardner, 2 x MFS, 2 x RCUII
5 x T2 Med drones (with maxed drone skills).
During the fight, I dont even run the rep, its purely there for repping afterwards if I survive. So far it has won all the 1vs1 fights its been in, whether they were gank, nos or tank setups.. Nothing has lasted long enough yet for cap to be a problem for me, or the lack of a tank.
That said, I would probably still go with the semi-standard setups (listed in previous posts) most of the time, but trying something a little different never hurts :)

Go wtih 1 each exp/kin/therm and an adaptive nano to add to all. This will give you with enough skills 63%-73%% on all resists. Then throw in a named t1 med rep, "accomodation" comes to mind or a t2 med armor rep. With your BC skill at 4-5 and repair system/hull upgrades/mechanic between 4-5 you will be surprised at the difference. You should then be in some good shape. Also take note that if you go all the way in the mechanic area and train for kin/exp/em/therm plating compensation you can increase those resistances ever so slightly with the use of the adaptive nano plate. Just some food for thought.

I'm something of a noob here, but I'm flying a Brutix and trying to put together a feasible setup with my low SP (less than a million[:oops])
My energy grid is perhaps not as beefed by skills as your guys, I don't have T2 anything, but my corp is moving to 0.0, and I want to have the best ship I can get. I haven't trained for Webifiers yet, but I'm getting there. I'm just finishing MWD skills.
I'm thinking 800mm plate, Hardeners, RCU(s?), an MWD and Blasters. I've been running 5x 250mm rails and named rails, an the damage is so-so unless you get in close, and with a 10mn AB, I can't close any ships except ones that can kill me in a heartbeat. Some named T1 Blasters with antimatter ammo would certainly help with the damage, but is that feasible for a new player? Those ranges are pretty small.
Basically, I need advice on a setup that isn't designed for 20m SP characters.
Thanks.

I dunno how effective this setup is for PvP, but I fly with a similar setup and I'm also sub-1mil SP. Try this on for size and see how well it works.
Highs: 4x Heavy Ion 2x Heavy Electron w/ antimatter, uranium, or plutonium ammo, 1x medium nos.
Mids: 10MN MWD, 2x 20km warp scrambler, 1x stasis web
Lows: 1x Thermal, 1x Kinetic, 2x Reactive energized plate, 1x medium armor rep.
5x medium drones of your choice
It all fits with Electronics 3, Engineering 3, Hull Upgrades 3, and Weapon Upgrades 2. Buuuuut...it's not quite as resistant to damage as setups with hardeners.
Now if you swap the highs to 3x Regulated Ion, 3x Regulated Electron and 1x Medium 'Knave' I Energy Drain, you can have room for 1x thermal, 1x kinetic, 1x reactive hardener and 1x adaptive nano energized plate. In even does slightly more damage than 4x Heavy Ion I/2x Heavy Electron I. Just needs Hull Upgrades 4 and enough cash for the regulated blasters and named nos.
Anyway. MWD in the general direction of your target, scramble at 20km, shut the MWD off when you get to around 10-12km - This takes a bit of self-training to get used to. Slap the nos on at 11km, and the web at <10km. Dump out a pile of bees^H^H^H^Hdrones, orbit at 2.5km, and open up with the blasters. If you're using hardeners, hit those when your shield is nearly gone. Lather, rinse, repeat.
[Angry Bastard Mining Association ('ABMA') will not be held responsible if this setup doesn't work and you get popped trying it, as we don't PvP for a living. For external use only. Do not attempt to stop blasters with hands, feet, or genitinals. Consult with your doctor if you develop a rash. Point away from face.]

The following is the optimal set up for group/damage dealing. You should never take a Brutix out by itself...that's asking for humiliation. This setup should be used in a gang with other tacklers. Have your tacklers snare the target, microwarp to target and add your webber and painter. The key is to web your target to almost a complete stop and paint it to increase your damage. As soon as you reach optimal range hit stop and fire away. Also, 5 x medium tech 2 drones helps. Infiltrator IIs to soften the shields upon arrival to optimal works well.
Highs 7 x Heavy Ion Blaster II
Meds 1 x Named Med MWD (T2 takes too much PG, 15 too much) 1 x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor(90%) 1 x Target Painter 1 x Medium Cap Battery II
Lows 1 x Medium AR II 2 x Nano Adaptive II 2 x Mag Stab II

During the fight, I dont even run the rep, its purely there for repping afterwards if I survive. So far it has won all the 1vs1 fights its been in, whether they were gank, nos or tank setups.. Nothing has lasted long enough yet for cap to be a problem for me, or the lack of a tank.
That said, I would probably still go with the semi-standard setups (listed in previous posts) most of the time, but trying something a little different never hurts :)
I just looked at that in QuickFit, and it both scares and arouses me.
WTB - Brutix with 6 Low Slots... Gonna have to drop a MFS to fit this. It's a nice 1v1 ship, provided you don't get jammed.

you could try the rogue type brutix.
6 electron blasters 1 med neut/warfare link of your choice 3 multi spec ecm 1 ab II
low slots as needed (cap relays and small repper, cpu if you need it badly)
its not outstanding in terms of tank or gank, but adds nicely to a group.

1.st setup.
7x ion IIs x5 web, JB5 WS, 10mn MWD II, Med elec Capbooster with 800 charges (boosts upp half the cap inn one go) 1x t2 med repper, 3x energized adaptive nanos II, dmgmod II
2cond setup
7x electron IIs x5 web, JB5 WS, 10mn MWD II, Med elec Capbooster with 800 charges (boosts upp half the cap inn one go) 1x t2 med repper, 3x energized adaptive nanos II, 800mm plate II

Other ships can do EW far more effectively and efficiently than a Brutix, and I would urge any prospective Brutix pilot NOT to fit a small repper in the low slot unless you have a med repper to back it up.
Also, if you need to fit a cpu of any description then you are simply not sufficiently equipped with the correct skills to pilot this ship and again I would urge you to train your skills (Electronics, Engineering, Weapons Upgrades, gunnery etc) to at least lvl4 before you contemplate using the Brute.
With the right skills this ship is absolutely devastating to use and with the 7.5% to Repair amount this ship screams for a dual med repper setup:
High: 7 x Regulated Ions Med: AB II, Med Cap Booster (200), Fleeting Web, Target Painter II Low: Dual Med Repper II, Explosive II, EM II, Nano II Drones: 5 med or 10 light
This is just one of many setups that can be used on a Brutix with good skills. One thing I never struggle for in mu Brutix is cpu, and I alsways have more than 80 tf left after fitting all my mods.

For all of us who specialized and spent as much time learning shield tanking skills as we could have spent on armor tanking skills, is there a good setup that would shield tank a Brutix perhaps using the lows as additives to the tank? I am working around a shield tank with mids setup like this: Medium Shield Booster II (just got the tech two trained) AB II ( just got trained this week, and today finished training MWD) Large Shield Extender (7 point hit but mega xtra hps) Shield Boost Amplifier (30% increase to the booster makes a Big difference it seems) I am getting 117 hp for 60 energy, every 2.7 seconds Plus I was using in my lesser ship, many Power Diagnostic Systems to get 11 hps sheild repaired per second. I have 700K SP and almost all skills are at 3 cept the gunnery and engineering and the skills for MWD. My concern in PvP is not to beat the other ship, but to make sure my hide survives long enough to make them run or to get away as my focus is missions and ratting.

The Brutix has 7.5% (per level of battlecruiser) added to the armor repper. My advice would be to screw the shield all together and use mids for CAP power to support your repper in the low slot. I haven't seen a Gallente ship that is capable of shield tanking all that well. On the contrary, ships like the brutix scream for armor tanking. Even with **** poor skills, a Med Repper, Small Repper and 3 resistances should do the task nicely. Or add a 800mm plate and go to 2 adaptive resistances to round out your setup.
Remember, no setup is 100% foolproof. There are ways to beat the best setup on the best ship, so don't expect to always win.
But to sum up, with the Brutix, don't waste CAP or grid trying to shield tank.

I guess that is all about what u encounter and what is the use inside the fleet or solo encounters. 2 days ago..me, the maga noob..2,5 mil SP and 600k in the gunnery section gone in a suicidal mission to kill my brutix and of course collect insurance money before my insurace will expire. My suicidal setup: 1 md NOs rest NO NAME light neutrons with antimatter 1 10MWD 1 langour drive 1 warp scrambler 1 kinetic energized, 1 thermic energized 1 no name medium rep 1 car recharger 1 1600 steel plate 3 drones hammerhead 1 Results: 1 kill - thorax, older player with T2 weapons with antimatter 1 death - tempest...and i would not died if was not such a noob and moved with aproach command and between him and me was a GATE..practically i was out of cap and 90% of armor when finally i was under 2 km so he cannot hit with his guns...of course those 5 heavy drones killed me.
So the brutix is a good ship!...But is all about the skills and the use of the skills. ________________ THE MEGA NOOB |

As with all Gallente ships they don't get good until you get quite a few skill points......
Highs: 7x Heavy Ion Blaster 2's
Mids: 10mn MWD Webber 7.5 Scram (PvP) / Cap recharger (PVE) Tracking Disruptor (PvP) / Cap recharger (PVE)
Lows: Medium armor repper 2 3x active hardeners or 3x adaptive nano 2's CPR
Drop a hardener and add another CPR for ratting
remember with Gallente you need skills to make their ships shine (ie. around 5-6 million plus for this ship)

How do I fit the Brutix?
Well, first I put in a whole heap of bad attitude, sprinkle with a dash of contempt for death and, most importantly, I finish off with metric f***-loads of DAMAGE.
Serve with extreme prejudice, with a bunch of fast flying tacklers for starters.

The setup I use is:
5x Electron Blaster 2x Medium Nos
1x 10mn MWD 1x Web 1x 20km Scrambler 1x Medium Cap Booster (800's)
2x Medium Armour Reps 3x Hardeners (Exp, Therm, Kin) or 2x EANM2, 1x Damage Control
Put T2/named wherever you want it ('accom' reps and T2 guns (mainly for the ammo) works well).

just got a brutix. I have just over 5 mill sp and i have to admit i find this ship hard to fit so god knows why anyone who has 1 mill would want to try. Youd be owned in pvp very quickly.
I have a question tho. I know this ship is best in close range, but is there any way to make it a long distance damage dealer for say complexes. Of course one person would be tanking all the npcs but i hate having to fly towards the ships to get range when the rest of my corp is sitting firing away from km`s awawy.

7 x t2 250mm
1 x sensor booster 2 x tracking comp 1 x target painter
1-2 x fitting mods 1-2 x dmg mods 1 x cap relay to run the guns

I've actually got about 2.2 million Skill Points and I've found the Brutix both an easier ship to fit than other popular Gallente ships (like the Thorax) and -significantly- increased my PvP and PVE in 0.0 space ability. Here is the settup:
Highs: 3 200mm Railguns (whatever configuration you like) 2 150mm Railgun IIs (the damage increase is noticable) 2 Medium NOS (all weapons have Antimatter charges and have an approximate range of 10k optimally, though can fire from quite farther than that).
Mediums: 10mn AB t2 Webby Scrammy Medium Capacitor t2
Lows: 2xMedium Armor Reps (Infrequent, I think) 1 Energized Adaptive Nano 2xLinear Stabilizer
5xHammerhead Drones
I've found this build lets me fire from great distances right from the get go, close the distance with my enemy (all the while dealing more damage), the 150mm Rails protect me from any Frigates or T2 Frigates that might be bothering me (along with the drones). And finally, once I get under 10k I put my webby on my primary target and start NOSing the hell out of them. I never have cap issues unless I'm using the 2x armor reps for a long period of time without the NOS to help out. I can heal almost 650pts of damage every 10 seconds and the damage output averages about 147pts/second.
Dakka dakka FTW!

med: mwd/ab ( if u can fit mwd better)2 point scram, web and cap reg
low: t2 med rep, 3x energized membranes (kin. explo and thermal) and capacitor power relays!

My Setup is this:
4 modal neutron blasters 2 light modal neutron blasters 1 medium knave nos
10mn mwd webber 2 medium armour repairers
kinetic/thermal/explosive plates 800mm nanofiber plate
I find that Its a very tight fitting setup especially with the neutron blasters but i do great damage over a short period of time and it gives me plenty of resistances especially with good mechanic skills. I only have 1.5 mill skill points but it does the job
I tried a rail brutix but theyre just not effecitve. If u can reach ure aponnent in a quick enough time (MWD) and deal ure damage usually theyre going to give up. Unless ure going up against something like a battleship which i have not tried to do as of yet. or will be doing in the near future by myself heh

T2 smalls have equal dammage to T1 mids but track faster but you really need T2 mids to make the brute shine. scanning throught the thread i havent seen dammage control mentioned once which i find strange, the ammar are the true armour tankers, the gallante have less, weaker armour in favour of additional structure.
With BC at lvl 4 a dual rep II/dammage control/explosive compensation II/energised adaptive II, youlll have decent resists, with the compensation skills at 4 youll add another 5/6% too all and still have 4k of 50 odd% structure to eat into.
The brutix is a seriously underestimated ship, most plp will ***** if they break your armour and realise theres tanied structure too, with good skills this ship will kill ALL hacs and most bs, its really just a big demios exelling at wasting bigger ships.

I forgot to mention the reason people dont use t2 small blasters, theres no real benifit, you wont need the additional grid if your slapping t2 mods on and really want t2 mid blasters (ions or nutes if you can), and ALWAYS carry both Null and Void/Anti Matter and Iridium, youll need the exra range if you bump into a mimi ship or get hit by tracking disruptors.

Your better dropping the 3 hardeners for 2x EANM, 1x DCU. About the same armour resistances but you get a lot more hull which allows for your reps to heal you a lot more or will simply just keep you alive a bit longer. Eitherway, it's invaluable atm -----

Lady Ariness what is the DCU you speak of, the only thing ive found the matches is the drone control unit, which doesnt fit on the Brutix? For the EANM would it be better to go with named EANM's ?

i think dcu is refering to a damage control unit, which gives u sligt boosts to shield and amrour resistances and a large boost to structure resistances across the board starting at 50% and up to 60% to all resistances (TII or best named that is)

AWU 5 and a +3% Powergrid Implant maybe?
...on the other hand using a banana might be a viable alternative.

Thanks for the fast reply Twilight :)
But the guy that posted that setup said he needed AWU4.
The powergrid implant might just be it then...

6 electrons II(void),1 nos webber, scrammer, mwd, ecm 2 repper II, 3 hardners
5 neut drones (the enamy will have 0 cap pretty quick)
ecm gives you the chance to repair between enamy vollys.
in 1v1 fights vs another brutix a good idea is to use null ammo and pick off drones. Other bc wont stand much chance vs this setup once your in close its the end for them ^^

Originally by: James Draekn As with all Gallente ships they don't get good until you get quite a few skill points......
Highs: 7x Heavy Ion Blaster 2's
Mids: 10mn MWD Webber 7.5 Scram (PvP) / Cap recharger (PVE) Tracking Disruptor (PvP) / Cap recharger (PVE)
Lows: Medium armor repper 2 3x active hardeners or 3x adaptive nano 2's CPR
Drop a hardener and add another CPR for ratting
remember with Gallente you need skills to make their ships shine (ie. around 5-6 million plus for this ship)
Nice that you guys keep stressing this point about needing 5-6 mil of skills before it works..... but ... erm... what skills... i could prolly get 5 mil in learning alone, but that wont boost my ship. So be a bit more specific on which skills plz ^_^.

Dante.

my guess would be.. for fitting, eng/elec5, weapons upgrades5/awu4 proper gunnery skills - med blaster spec, and such cap skills, energy management, energy systems op armor repair skills, and so on. eh.

All of these pvp setups don't use any gang assist modules. Does anyone have reccomendations on how to set up a Brutix for a big fleet op with gang assist? I've tried the following
6x 250mm railgun (tech I) 1x gang assist module
1x 10mn abI 1x webber 2x racial specific jammers
1x 50% explosive 1x 50% kinetic 1x 50% thermic 1x damage control 1x reactor control unit I
I can run all active modules for a couple of minutes before the cap runs out. Replacing a jammer with a cap charger could help with this. When the jamming nerf comes out I may end up doing this with both jamemrs anyways. Also, I don't have the sp for rcu II yet. That'd prolly be quite a help.
Well, do let me know your thoughts

mwd, web , scram, med cap recharger 800 charges.
1 med t2 rep, 1 small t2 rep, 3 t2 hardners.
5 good drones
works well for me, just be careful what you attack and youll be fine. modify hardners if you attack npcers

To be honest I'd pick the DC over a 2nd EANM II any day with the amount of structure the brutix has - not only does it make an ownage tank, with a boost in HP equivalent to fitting a massive plate, but it makes a big difference when you consider reps repair at the end of the cycle, so you get a massive buffer, which could be the different between the slow ass brutix making it to the gate or not :/

I'm on one of my alts but whatever. I like more of a cheaper setup so I don't lose too much if it happens to explode from a randomly placed POS... again :P. Anywho,
High 5x Modal Neutron Particle Accelerator I 1x Anode Neutron Particle Cannon I 1x Medium 'Knave' Energy Drain I
1x 10mn Named MWD 1x J5 20km Scram 1x X5 Web 1x med electrochem booster with 400 charges
2x Medium Armor Rep II 1x Nano Adaptive II 2x Magnetic Field Stab. II
Drones: 5x Mixed T1 drones or 5x Hammerhead II
or sub out 1 of the Magnetic Stabs for another hardener. This setup works fairly well for me, its cheap, affective, puts out in damage and not very skill intensive. I like the cap booster 400's because you can carry more 400's then 800's and the smaller boost works just as well or better if you don't need as much cap back. I've killed everything up to other battlecruisers with this easy. Any T2 frigate *except a smart inti* should be easy to take, haven't come across any T2 cruisers but I would like to try killing one. But anyways does anyone have any comments, suggestions?

No one has said anything about Sensor Dampeners, which is always a nice module to use on a Blaster ship.

I think swapping the Nos for a Med Neut on this build is a good idea. The Nos is a bit redundant TBH with the cap booster on.

decent PvP setup, from my point of view
Highs: 5x Ion II's 1x Neutron II 1x small nos
Meds: MWD Web Scram Cap booster packed with a 800p. charge
Lows: MAR II Active Kinetic -II- Explosive -II- Thermal MFS II
Drones: vespa II's or hammerhead II's (vespas are cheaper and still good)
i dont rly like electrons, so i use ions, and then there was some room for a neutron blaster so i didnt think it would hurt cramming in one of them..also, the small nos is the only thing i can get there but it rly doesnt matter, cus you have the 800's..BC lvl 4 is a nice asset when flying this to rep-a-lot..
