also can anybody explain the "the germans would destroy the pronunciation" comment to me?
I am German and as far as I can tell we would pronounce it reasonably well, certainly closer to its correct pronunciation than an American speaker would do intuitively. |

Yeah, I was also a bit confused about the whole "germans will destroy it" thing. Anyways, I'm still confused about the bad N word, because I'm almost certain the bad N word has an "i" right after the "N". How excactly an "a" suddenly gets pronounced like an "i" is like, magic to me.
Naggers, well because I live in the UK and these strange people have a tendency to not pronounce "r" in a lot of words. Kind of like "word" gets pronounced: "woud" (I really suck at writing phonetically. Scratch that, I suck at writing).
Have you noticed how some ships are actually blue? Weird isn't it? |

that so called N word is not an racist or any kind of assault unless you perceive it as such. Actually in the time long past it was an normal calling for people with black skin. Than it was changed because too many people used it as an insult / white trash people with red necks and IQ below 60/ and too many people become offended by such /black people who wasnt willing to take up the name since too much "bad stuff" was connected with it.

It's supposed to be nah-gah with two long "ah" sounds. it doesn't sound anything like the slur loosely derived from the Spanish word for black.

If you're in a fleet with a guy saying ****** instead of naga deliberately then you're in a pretty crap fleet or he's not been kicked yet.
If you're in a fleet with a guy saying ****** accidentally instead of naga then correct him and be done with it.
It is people that see using a taboo word to shock or draw attention to themselves that show their lack of maturity and are inherently pathetic. Have faith people in game can see past this and don't do this yourself. Problem solved. |

The OP is a hypocrite. His name adds one single letter to a term that is used offensively towards females, and yet complains because the new Caldari BC is a several letter different from a name that *might be* offensive to blacks.
Besides, its Naga, not Nager. It doesnt even sound like the word that is actually offensive, it just sounds like the term that blacks have used to reappropriate oppressive language.
