I just got back on eve recently and par habit took a look at the sell posts on the forums...
auctions for heavy assault ships?????????????????
Then after seeing what they were going for I wqs like....whaaat. Now I cant actually remember what I payed for it before I suspended my subscription for a while but I'm sure it wasnt more than a battleship would cost...was it... is there some kind of HAC shortage in eve now?

Due to CCP messing with RAM's and everyone wanting a HAC, prices are out of control.

You still can't throw an Eagle on someone, when fixing the RAMs they should look into this useless vessel too.

Whats the deal with HAC's?
What can you do with a HAC that you cant do with any tier 1 BS?
Just wondering cuz I just dont get it.

Manouverability and speed. Not all HAC's, but many have unique abilities.
Two examples:
Eagles can snipe interceptors at extreme ranges.
Vagabonds can MWD at 2.5km/s and still have a full weapons loadout.

Supply go down, price go up.
Once RAM seeding via agents is worked out properly, the supply should go back up again.

Yes, the Eagle sucks  which is why a pilot with a rather simple fitting beat a deimos and ishkur at close range in the alliance tournament final.

Definitely agreed; in fact, 50 mil is still somewhat high price for Eagle... 40 maaaaaybe, and even then i'd think twice of paying that much... >>;;

The sudden glut of new T2 ships, the complete fubar of RAM techs and other T2 components, and the fact that there is no way that POS producers can keep up or even scratch the demand curve and the idiot idea to remove all T2 comps from mission rewards (among all of the countless other mission nerfs thrown out over the past 13 months) mean that T2 ships are priced far, far, FAR beyond their usability value.
Interceptors and Assault Frigs had just about reached the holy grail of risk-v-reward until the whole RAM issue. Now all of the T2 ships have been returned to the risk-does-not-equal-reward pile of uselessness. Unless you're in a gank blob.

I would just like to point out that the Eagle is an excellent ship, our customers are more than happy with the ones we sell them and the waiting list for sales is currently the longest it has ever been.

Meh, supply and demand...
Anyone notice a similarity in real life? With oil prices? Price goes up, people complain but still buy. You don't want to spend? Don't spend! People just want and are willing to shell out the isk charged... start doing missions and get rams, then you can make tonnes of isk too.
