When you want at least 400m¦ transport capacity, what would be the fastest ship, and how would you set it up?
Easy solution would be one of the new interdictors, but they seem to be much overprized atm... Any other ideas?

Try a stabber, if you have a deacent minmatar cruiser skill.

Probe with Minmatar Frig 5 has 400m3 capacity. Fit 1mn MWD II, Small Cap Batt II, and 2x named nanos for fast transport.

Gallente skills only, unfortunately. But in case the differences of the ships are that huge, I might even learn flying minmantar... ahmmm... things.

Very bloody fast tbh.
I have a Viator and when kitted out for speed only and it hits 2km/s with mwd on.

Stabber with cruiser skill 5
Meds:
10mn Mwd t2, Large Cap Battery t2, Large Shield Extender t2
Lows:
either tripple Local hull nanos or 2 stabs and a nano.
Depends if u plan to actually break the blockade or aim to get back through the gate.
With stabs it does 3.1km/s and has 4k shieldsm with 3 nanos it does 3.4km/s but flies like a ceptor or steroids.

cheap(tech 1 fitted 150,000 or less)
small(handles well and slow lock till you turn the MWD on)

probe cant reach 3km/s without snake implants and faction gear as far as im aware and has a crappy cap ontop.

I'd go myself with interdictor, but they have a bit less space.
As for price: 17mil for Heretic is nowhere close to being overpriced (i can trash them all day long like saders ;p)

If aeti was right... Machariel with all domination nanos +implants would get you 12-20km/s (not a typo) with the agility of an inty. Granted that would be 1 expensive hauler though...

Not sure if you noticed, but the machriel has a much lower base speed and a much higher mass than the claw...

I'd settle in for a probe. Inexpensive, 400m3 cargohold, and gets to around 2.6km/s with a pair of nanos and a mwd.

I use an Osprey for loot collection and courier missions with the following setup:
Hi's
+ whatever
Med's
+ 2 x Medium LD-acid cap battery I (to give total cap of 884)
+ 1 x 10MN MWD I
+ 1 x 10MN AB I
Low's
+ 3 x Nanofibre Internal I
On MWD I can reach 1.4km/s from normal speed of 300m/s and sustain it for 1 min 22 secs. When collecting loot I use the AB and can sustain that indefinately.
Not the quickest but it's cheap and expendable and gives a cargo of 485m3. Suits me fine.

For low skills setups, a catalyst or other destroyer on MWD can get a speed somewhere up in the 1000-1500 m/s range. And any but the Coercer can hold the 400m^3.

Exqueror with MWD and Nanos is pretty fast and has 4 highs for tractor beams if I remember correct. With cruiser V it also has 900 m/3 cargo bay.

The best ratio speed/cargohold i found is with my prowler (minmatar blockade runner)
4000m3 at 2750 m/s with 2WCS built-in. Can we ask for more ?
i think you can reach a similar result with the gallente one.
The best ratio speed/cargo/skilltime/isk as stated before is the probe I think.

yeah gall is very close to that last one, a transport ship with all nanos is not only hell of a fast in a straight line but aligns and goes into warp alomst as fast as a heavy frig VERY good for long hauls, think if u only want 400m^3 then u could get the gall blockade runner over the 3km/s mark with boosters, but u would lose warp alignment speed!

Actually you have to concider the mass vs the trust off the battleship sized mwd which faviours the Machariel by a bit.
The machariel will still be going slower but fast as hell and the cargohold should be sufficient for the OP

Mach without domi nanos , but local hull nanos instead, and snake implants, and the best propulsion in the game hits around 7.5 km / sec, and tuns like a light cruiser.
haven't tried it with domi nanos yet.

Try an Exequror Gallente cruiser with nanofibers and MWD. Cheap, big cargo, some survivability, and good speed.
