Greetings EVE-O,
I wonder if anyone can help me set a legion cloaky fit for blops. I kindly ask for your expertise on this subject. Thanks in advance for any help provided. |

Cloaky Legions are pretty bad. You'd pretty much be better off with any other cloaky T3.
But if you had to fly one, maybe fit an energy parasitic complex and as many neuts as you can squeeze on there? Not like you'd be doing any damage anyhow. |

Well to be honest i have a loki alt for probing and i been wondering what ship can i use to support that loki, and in the process inflict dps. i read your coments on another post and i think a pilgrim is a good choice but i am looking for something that can bypass gate camps and bubbles. So i guess i will go with that recommendation adn use the legion as a MEGA CLOAKY Pilgrim variant. Any suggestion on the fit? I have no idea how to fit a legion. Thanks in advance. |

The problem with a drone Legion is that you can't make it cloaky (since the Drone Synthesis Projector is competitive with the Covert Reconfiguration). Which means that your choice for a cloaky drone ship is basically to get a Pilgrim.
You can't quite make a Legion into a Curse either as it will lack neut range, but that wouldn't be a cloaky option anyhow.
The thing is, you really can't eke much damage out of a cloaky Legion. It's the only T3 with a Covert Reconfiguration that doesn't include a damage bonus. So you're left with the age old question: fit lasers and eat cap or fit projectiles and just deal with low damage? (Or fit blasters just to be different). Note that missiles also aren't an option because the Covert Reconfiguration doesn't give you any launcher hardpoints.
If you have to, I'd refigure the Loki into the one doing some damage and leave the ewar to the Legion. Or give up the covops cloak. One or the other. |

If you're going to have a perfect warp-in because of probes and whatnot and you really had to use a Legion for the dps role, you'll definitely get more mileage out of a blaster fit.
Other than that, a Pilgrim probably is better in every way possible (save bubble immunity and raw neuting power), and other T3s (esp the Proteus) have more potential to step up and do what you want. STANDING ON THE VERGE OF PROLAPSE |

If your target is ratters then you could do with a cloaky fit doing some 250-300 (depending on ammo) dps with 2xneuts (neuting amount is like 2xHeavy) which is a good comprimise to run together with something like a 500 dps cloaky Proteus.
750 combined dps and 2xHeavy neuts will break most ratters. In case of some really tanky and really juicy target fit a cyno on your legion... I have done it before... if the trade off is worth it -shrugs-. |

legion is the only T3 that don't mix well with cloak. |

Yeah if you try to get any dps out of a cloaky Legion you're going to very dissapointed. I would suggest you go for an all out ultimate heavy tackle neut legion. Something like this:
[Legion, Neut Cloaky]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Armor Thermic Hardener II Damage Control II
Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I Shadow Serpentis Warp Scrambler Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Medium Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 800
Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Medium Egress Port Maximizer II Medium Trimark Armor Pump II Medium Trimark Armor Pump II
Legion Engineering - Power Core Multiplier Legion Defensive - Augmented Plating Legion Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Legion Propulsion - Chassis Optimization Legion Electronics - Energy Parasitic Complex
Has like 135k EHP and massive neuting power, pretty much the most you can get out of any cloaky. If things get on top of something it's pretty much dead as it would take quite awhile to eat through that EHP and they'll be neuted out really quickly, it can drain an entire BCs cap pool from full to 0 in 2 cycles. Can alpha around 1600 cap instantly.
You can add more pimp to get better stats but I'd say the bare minimum is the 3pt scrams as that puts all your tackle(OH) and neuts on the same range and 3pt scram is just awesome to catch the guys who try to escape with 2 WCS or warp strength bonused ships. Also the t2 trimarks which are relatively cheap and give a huge EHP bonus. |

Useless solo (but really useless not like a solo Pilgrim which is semi viable) Not so good an idea in a pair, Very good choice when flyign with at least two more people. |

OP said it's for a BLops gang so he won't be alone, in that case it's actually very useful as it will completely shut down anything with blasters, lasers, active tank, relies on speed, hardeners will shut down making them squishier. Pretty much anything that needs cap save a DCU will be gone. |
