Good Morning All,
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and the WIFI that they provide for us does not allow the eve client to patch. Now I have tried downloading manual patches etc to get this to work however everytime I boot up the launcher the bottom of it says "installing files" then it goes to "create eve_online_590158-60582_WIN.PATCH 0% and a pop up window comes and states: "The server you are connecting to doesn't have a published update package.
And as such I cant play. Now I know part of that is on my ISP here but I was wondering if there was ANY way to get the game to update? what if I uninstall and reinstall eve will it be the current version or will it try to patch itself?
I am not having this issue with world of tanks and its going perfectly fine. Once I can get this EVE thing going again I'm looking forward to starting an alt!

there's nothing like watching jabber pings go out seeing the FC cry for more people, launching the shortcut and then watching error message after error message, followed by being stuck at 15% for no apparent reason.. right folks? :D This is what we pay for! :D |

Finished work after a gruelling day and wanting to eve for an hour or 2. ITs broke... again.
I'm feeling like I've quantum leaped into 2004 eve login.

Same here, patcher launchs a "The server you are connecting to doesn't have a published update" or get stuck at 15%. No workaroud, i changed nothing of my pc from yesterday so its CCP fault.
New launcher is better, blablabla... I hate automatism so much.... when it fails you can do nothing. |

Download the offline installer plus files (its only about 5 GB). It worked the last time. You will have to do it again though once there is the next patch.

I went into the C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE folder and deleted all of the .patch files in there and it worked after that.
Noticed that the first time it failed was different to the subsequent ones. Give that a go. |

Okay, I read someone updating WoT so I left the launcher widdling about on 15% and started patching WoT instead. Two minutes later my Eve client is suddenly patched and now running.
Anyone else suddenly getting in? Btw, I left the client update launcher running for about 15 minutes.

I'm having the same problems as listed here prior.
I've experienced the 15% after clearing cache with the launcher, and now it tells me "The server you are connecting to doesn't have a published update package". Then where the update bar usually is it says "Client update was unsuccessful".
Less partying during the week guys :) |

fixed for me :_
I copied to another directory and ran the repair tool and copied it back.
I ran the patch and it picked up and kept sticking at 3/4.
I rtan the repair tool again.
ran eve.exe (safe mode) and it finished applying it.
not sure if all these steps actually did it or they have uploaded yesterdays working patch for me.

Try leaving it running for a little while. some people are getting through. Could be a traffic overload as a lot of people in the UK have finished work which sends the internet into chaos for a bit.

Looking at the launcher log and some other hints, it seems like the webserver providing the patch server has some issues.
To be exact, it looks like the redirect link times out (eg server unavailable?).
Most likely (knowing CCP) this will be fixed in a little while. Perhaps this is our chance to do those chores that have been stacking up around the house, I know I will :)
Either way, no use trying again and again, better to try it again in 30m.

Most likely (knowing CCP) this will be fixed in a little while. Perhaps this is our chance to do those chores that have been stacking up around the house, I know I will :)

All 3 PCs I have access to share the problem. I either get no package message or it gets stuck on initializing or it gets stuck on 15%.

Well it doesn't for me, repair.exe doesn't download the repair file, after starting the client through exefile.exe and allowing it to patch my launcher - the launcher is dead (meaning it starts, shows the window "Downloading Launcher Update", once the progress bar is full it disappears and ... that's it).
Damnit CCP, why do you have to be so bad... |

You mis-quoted me, I didn't say it worked for me. But I noticed that a few others had gotten it working. It doesn't work for me. Also deleting all the .patch files from CCP/EVE and then running the eve client may work in some cases. |

I downloaded a 6,6 mb file... After that it was downloading , next was that the luncher started and now its sayiyng installing in the bottom but nothing happens.... Client closes - Restarts and at step 2/4 initialising it stops again and says the "update package" crap... |

Due to the way CDN's work (Level3 is a pretty big CDN provider - my company uses them), the content can be available to one user but not another. CDN's use thousands on caching systems globally. All the problems referenced in this threads (and the pseudo solutions) are all indicative of a out of date CCP source server or a bad network config on Level3. From experience, its more likely a out of date source server than a real problem with Level3. But then I deal with sourcing to Level3 from the US, not Iceland so problems may be different. |

Seems fixed on my end now.
Ran the EXEFile from the bin folder.
Got stuck a billion times on 15% in the client.
Tried several things and just ran the EVE Online Launcher from my Start menu.
Did that a couple times, and now it says 'Client is ready'.

Had the same issue till some minutes ago from Italy.
Cleared cache, closed all processes related to eve, start in safe mode, run repair tool and after it finishes client went ready quickly.
Don't know if CCP fixed something on their side or if what I did have been of some use. |

Yep, this worked for me, highlighted anything that was 'dot.patch' deleted it, and just ran the launcher again.
