Im a huge fan of the eve music, would love to hear more tracks made, especially if theyre put into the ingame jukebox :)
Edited for spelling :s

I have two clients running on one machine. Two clients wont run sound in EVE together without massive problems.
Though a little new music would be great.
Btw. when will we be able to listen to Minmatar music while in space? Imo it is the best of the whole set, but it never found a way into the jukebox.

can we add songs to the jukebox or was that taken out? I'd like to add some ghost in the shell SAC to the mix, it'd be perfect.

How to change your ingame music. (Courtesy of EvE forums, original author unknown)
Note: If you have a slow machine this is not recomended. From what ive been reading, the EvE ingame music or the following can cause a 20 FPS dent in your total FPS
Goto your EvE folder eg... 'C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\'
Go into the folder named res eg... 'C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\res\'
Create a folder in there called 'Sound'. Go into that folder.
Create a folder called 'Music'. Go into that folder.
You need to convert your MP3's into .ogg audio format and place them in the music folder that you just created.
You then need to make an .m3u playlist from the files that you just placed in the folder and name it to inflight.m3u
Everytime you place new music in the folder remember to remake the playlist file.
Note: In case your wondering, MP3 players need a royalty to be paid, OGG doesn't, hence the OGG format.

There are some remixed Hallur tracks in the Eve Music section on this web site.
Also, I like to run my X3 mp3s in winamp while I play sometimes. If you have X2 or X3 you can browse to the music folder and steal those, they work nicely for Eve.

There are a number of remixed versions on the menu to your left. Dunno if they're the same as what was played at the fanfest or not. Some are not in game afaik (and should be). Some are in-game and shouldn't be (the techno stuff). I don't like the stuff in Caldari complexes at all. Other complexes I've visited seem to have various themes you can't normally hear any more - including the old EVE theme tune which has a far better build-up than the current one (imho).
My favourite is, and always has been, "Merchants, Looters, Ghosts". That's great and the remix (on the left) is even better.
But yes, it would be nice to have some news ones. -------

Edited by: Fuujin on 10/01/2006 21:58:20 I want new eve music, not new music in general but rather introduce new tracks from john hallur, and only John Hallur, he did an amazing job with the songs that are already in game.
On a side note my fave track has always been "I saw your ship", though the remix isn't as good as the original. I was wondering fi anyone knew which song was it that inspired that song? I remember him mentioning long long ago on the forums that it was similar to some old nordic song or something. _______________

WinAmp will play OGG files natively and Media Player can play OGG files once you install the proper drivers.
You will of course need to use the extractor (linked just above) to get the OGG files out. -- Lil Miner |

his music fits this game soo well. I hope we get some more of his music for the game in the future.
Believe it or not the music is one of the main things I remembered about the game from beta and one of the main reasons I came back to try it once it hit retail. "Oh yeah, I remember that game.. it had some cool music, maybe I'll check it out" Not joking when I say that this is one subscription (long time subscription) you wouldn't have, had you not had his music.
songs like "Below the Asteroids" will stick with me forever. ________
