If its valuable you could get ganked anywhere. Since you're hauling to hubs be careful of hubs, lots of losers around them in disposable dessies just looking for a lolmail. |

Set autopilot between Jita and Amarr. The .6 and .5 systems in that route are the ones to avoid.
Do the same with combinations of Rens and Dodixie with the above 2.
And like baltec said, look on your map for # of ships blown up recently in those systems. Use the map, its quite a valuable tool.
Or use dotlan.
I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all. |

Don't listen to what anybody says. Highsec is 100% safe. Just put a couple of billion in goods in an untanked T1 industrial and set it to autopilot while you watch TV. CONCORD is there to protect and serve!

You know Rancer? You have to go there.
But seriously, use map filters to see where were the ships destroyed recently. There are systems with low security status between Rens, Amarr, Jita and Dodixie, you risk valuable cargo when going thru them. But, gankers will find you in Jita undocking, when you don't have quick warp bookmark there. You can make ganking unprofitable in many ways. Don't haul shinies in low hp ships with low resistances, don't autopilot, If you fly orca, tank it. In extreme cases you can place cargo in ship that can warp cloaked. New CQ prototype |

A few things.
1) an out of corp npc corp alt to move stuff. 2) when moving stuff in a hauler fit the biggest tank you can. 3) have a logi ship with you to go with you shield/armor tank. make sure to wave at the exploding gankers as you gang warp away.
4) don't use a freighter and if you do , have someone in the same corp web that freighter so you align faster.
5) no AFK flying your stuff around. |

You don't need to avoid any systems. You just need to avoid making it worth their while to attack you. If you're in a war, it's almost always worth-while to attack you, unless it's obvious that you're pulling the opponents away from a much juicier target. Anyone who plans on hauling needs to use the map. It shows kills, jumps, populations etc. If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there. |

As long as you're not wardeced, and your cargo is only about 1billion, then highsec freighter travel should be fine.
Traveling around will an expensive cargo is a good way to get ganked. Post with your main, like a BOSS! |

It is the best advise anyone here can give you. So stop being snippy and listen to the advice you asked for.
The map will show you ships/pods/ destroyed recently and average number of pilots in any system. Even though there may be some general choke-points, they can change daily and the map will give you the most recent information for you to make your system avoidance call.
If not, just avoid the system people tell you and hope it does not change. Primary Test Subject GÇó SmackTalker Elite |

Personally, I'd avoid moving anything of value in anything but a blockade runner. Larger consignments of course need to go freighter or deep space transport. But industrial ships need to be avoided at all costs for long run hauling. Use the industrial ships in the local systems you inhabit as an asset shuttle.
We use nothing but t2 haulers. And they are worth the training time if you are a player that likes hauling.
I've not played with a tanked Orca- it seems like a useless ship to me (for my purposes).
BUT: be aware.... running freight means you have to understand PVP in order to survive. The better you are at PVP the more successful you will be at moving high value items.
Honestly you can fly through *any* system if your fit, your scouting, your PVP knowledge, and your equipment are up to the task.
When the pirates give up trying to catch you, become your friends, and contract your services to move their stuff- you've graduated. |
