We do not want to go to Syria. We don't care what happens to them. We are sick of bailing everyone out. No other countries really want to stick up for eachother so we end up getting stuck with it. But I still remember my people who died 9/11 and wanted to show them respect.
Cry me a river. You might be sick of it, but your government loves it, the fat cats that get rich by going to war love it. That's why america will never stop being the world police, because they love spending tax dollars to buy new weapons of war. And once they've leveled a country they hoover up the contracts to rebuild it, and the local fatcats are okay with it but everyone that is poor benefits nothing while they bear the emotional burden and terrors of war. War on terrorism is largely bullshit fed to the people. They could've assassinated Osama within hours after 9/11 but didn't, because war is good for business.
And yeah, people die, I want to show them respect too. But I do it my own way, lighting a candle and a moment of silence. I don't go posting threads about every anniversary of the T+ìhoku earthquake and tsunami(est. casualties 10 000 - 15 000), 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami (est. casualties 200 000+ ) or World War II (est. casualties 72 million, more than half of them civilians). And I don't want to remind everyone in the world that 852 died when Estonia sank off the coast of Finland. Because realistically, most of the world doesn't care, because it happened 10 000 miles away from them. Actually considering how many people have died in various disasters since 2001, WTC gets really disproportionate amount of attention even 12 years later, as I don't recall hearing much about the 2004 tsunami even though it is possibly the worst natural disaster in the past 150 years.
Now don't get me wrong, I do feel for the friends and family of 9/11 victims. But I really don't want to hear how it is the worst thing that has ever happened every damn year ad nauseum.
Sorry for any hurt feelings, but give this a rest already.
