EWA's Scylla database update has been published.
I also deployed a sneak update to EWA itself a while ago, in case you missed it.
This lets you disable the "Client" filter for wallet transactions (look in "Options", "Wallet/Assets", "Disable client filter"). As stated there, this speeds up laoding times for the wallet transaction window as it doesn't load all the client names that way.
Enjoy!

Well, I can't tell of course if EWA's the right tool for you, but EWA's capable of exporting all of its data in Excel format.
EWA also stores its data in a MS Access database, which can be used as a data source from within Excel.

Excellent. I will give installing it a whirl this week. I had a bit of trouble last week, but maybe I just need to go through the instructions one more time.

While the Aegis database hasn't been released by CCP yet, I've published a new version of EWA to bridge the gap until I can update EWA's database. It includes two minor additions:
Quick briefing The wallet transaction amounts now also apply broker fees and/or sales taxes as set in "Options".
Assets The Assets window received a new grid column, "Date/Time". The date shown there indicates when the item's value was retrieved from the selected data source (EVE Central, EVE Market data).

Hello - I'm in search of a tool that will download my open sell orders. And download my current inventory. And then add the two and allow that data to be dumped into an Excel sheet. Basically I want a tool that allows me to see the complete inventory I have of each item by character. A nice add would be to limit it to a market basket of products. Is this possible with EVEwalletaware? If not - any recommendations?

EWA would allow you to do that - in a way: you can export each of EWA's forms to an Excel sheet. So you could export your sell orders (one sheet) and your assets (another sheet). You would have to paste the two sheets together in Excel then.
EWA also provides a couple of filters, but to be honest: I don't think those aren't enough to create what you describe as a "market basket", though it may help in reducing unwanted data. I'm no "Excel guy", but I think the basket might be better build using Excel's filtering options.
As for other tools, jEveAssets is specialized in asset management. Then there's Evernus, another trading app. And EveHQ, with its various plugins.
Not sure if and what kind of export capabilities those tools provide, though.

I just noticed that EVE Central has addede SSL to its API.
If you want to enbale EWA to use HTTPS instead of HTTP when accessing EVE Central, open its INI file.
(Go ? -> Show locations and open it from there, make sure to close EWA before you save your changes as EWA would otherwise overwrite them)
Find the line
ECBaseURL=http://eve-central.com
and simply change it to
ECBaseURL=https://eve-central.com

Inspired by a capsuleer's question over in the Tech Lab forum, I've thrown together a little companion tool for EWA, called EWAViewer.
As you EWA users might or might not be aware, EWA let's you export the data you currently looking at to its own file format by right-clicking on the grid and select "Save as ...". (Well, most grids ... I'm sure I've left out a few ...) You could hand the resulting file to another EWA user and he could open it in his EWA (menu File -> Open grid) and view the data you sent him. BTW, the exported data includes what you currently see in the grid and only that, honoring all filters currently in place. So the recipient got to see only what you want him to see.
The above has long been a feature of EWA.
EWAViewer is just that: a viewing tool for the data file you exported. It's self-contained It doesn't require an installation of EWA itself nor any API keys or other (EVE) data from the user.
It didn't took long to separate out that part of EWA into this 'lil tool. If at least one of you guys finds it a useful addition, it's well worth the time it took me.
You'll find the EWAViewer at EWA's download page.
Enjoy! (and bug-report ofc, in case it doesn't work ...)

Thanks for the kind words.
If I'm not terribly mistaken, EWA is meanwhile the oldest still supported trading app around.
The two older ones I remember, EMMA and EVE Income Analyzer, seem to have gome out of business, though I'm not exactly sure about the later. It was picked up by VV after having been discontinued by its original author. But I haven't seen VV for a long time.

I've released a new EWA version (2.1.24).
- Upon the request of an EWA user, I've added a new filter option "Vendor" to the wallet transactions. This filter doesn't make much sense for a single trader, though. But for corporate transactions, this lets you filter on the corp member who did the actual transaction(s).
- The charts window now also respects the setting for enabling/disabling the "Client" filter, resulting in a minor loading speed gain when the client filter is disabled.
I've also updated the setup to include the latest release and database (Galatea).

BTW, ever since CCP decided to tear apart the Static Data Export into now three different sources/formats (MS SQL database dump, a bunch of YAML files + a SQLite database), Desmont McCallock (of EVEMon fame) enabled me to publish my database updates in a timely manner by making his tool SDEExternalsToSql public.
This tool gathers all the scattered data from the YAML files and SQLite database and imports them back into the SQL database. So hop over to the above linked forum post and give Mr. McCallock a big hand.

I've pushed out a small update to both EWA and EWAAutoData which removes the calls to (what now seems to be defunct) eve-marketdata.com. Although both apps could well cope with calls to the non-existent service, this should slightly increase the speed of certain actions involving market data retrieval.

I've published a bug fix for both EWA (v2.1.28) and EWAAutoData (v1.0.32).
This fixes an issue when fetching item prices from EVE Central and you're possessing items that EC for whatever reason doesn't support and therefore won't answer a request with price data. In that case, EWA ignored any price retrieved so far and "dropped" out of the processing method.
tl;dr EWA wasn't retrieveing prices from EVE Central anymore. This has been fixed.
