it happens, usually when a ship is far away from you (30+ km i think) if yuou kill one of tis mates before it engages you it will leave.
but you are tight, no point in putting a scram on for PVE, put a web on instead.

all races have atleast one tier one frigate thats competly useless for fighting, Amarr has the Executioner, Caldari has the condor, Gallante have the atron, Minmatar has the slasher they are all fast as hell but unless you use them to get from point a to b quickly or just becouse your crazy, their pretty useless
fun to play with though, but realy not good for annything else :D
That's not true at all. It all depends on what you fit your ship with. The executioner is a very capable fighter. With this setup i've cleared every lvl 1 mission no problem, including worlds collide. I could've done level 2's in this setup even but i didn't want to take forever :P Those multispawn missions would take forever in this. Just take a cruiser for level 2 and blast everything :P
2xPulse Lasers (your choice) w/ standard crystals 1xAB 1xSmall Sheild Booster 2xHeat Sinks
get in, kill everything, and get out :P i use the AB to reach targets and orbit around 5km. The heat sinks and damage from pulse lasers allows you to fire quickly and destroy frigates. (it's only a npc setup that i've used cause i'm a month old for my char and this game :] ) enjoy. |

I use my executioner freq. against destroyers & frigates. Mostly because when you jack loot, and they see thats the ship your in, they will more than likely try to kill ya :) and then you suprise them :D
few executioner fights
depending on what im fighting, and if they have nos or not
1 medium pulse, small nos web + 2 point small armor rep, energized adaptive
~or~
2 gatling pulse ab + 2 point small armor rep, energized adaptive

Hmmm.. How about this setup?
High: 2 Dual Pulses *Optional* 2 Dual Beamers, tight fit.
Medium: 1 AB 1 Small Cap Battery II
Low: 1 Small Armor Rep II 1 MAPC
I'll be able to test this in a few days. The MAPC lets you fit the Cap Battery and the cap battery adds over 50% to capacitor. Better than what a CPR and a cap recharger will give you in those slots. Not sure if this setup would allow you to run the repper indefinately, not likely though.
I'm still pretty new. I've tried taking cruisers through L2 missions but they're so boring when compared to piloting an Executioner

Add cargo scanner and two snowball launchers on top of that and you get what I use when I hang around in Amarr.

Yeah, that's all i use my executioner for...sometimes i equip a ship scanner just to see if i can get a lock and scan before i make it to the gate :P

I beat War of the Worlds with this set up. Unconventional to say the leaseàother descriptive words stupid, suicidal, fast. =P I would not suggest this for any real use. It worked for War of the Words due to me being able to fly at 1187m/s and run like god damned hell.
HiÆs: 2x Dual something or other lasers. MidÆs: 1x 1mn Afterburner II, Small Shield Extender I LoÆs: 1x Overdrive Injector System I, Basic Magnetic Plateing

Just a small post. Why would you want to put a shield booster on a Amarr ship. They are armour tankers so you surely would be better off with an armour rep.
Ent...
All these talking machines are getting me down. My car tells me to put my seatbelt on, my fridge tells me to shut the door and my table lamp tells me to go out and kill people.

First off, i used an executioner in 0.0 as a disposable frig, it worked well, i disposed of a lot of them :P
for perma mwd or perma 20k scram (don't have skills needed to do both) 1 random non-cap use mod and a cpr.
For fast speed... best MWD you can fit, 2 overdrives. I was roaming in 0.0 (IAC space) and was outrunning their intes with catalyzed cold-gas arcjet thruster. i was getting about 4.4kms, and since then i have trained more skills to move faster :D
yes i know a crusader can easily outrun that (i fly a crusader now, even my slower setups go over 4.4kms) but it can be fun since it is all t1 (and you can swap out the named MWD for more disposability).

============================================================
x2 dual light pulse t2 (Conflagration For BC Gamma/radio for frigs)
X1 t2 small shield booster or t1 X1 t2 ab
X2 t2 heatsinks
can take down dual BC spawns. This setups are made for fun only and cuz its a sexsy ship. Its a fast ship 1.3k+ tanking is not a problem since the BC miss u all the time i usualy switch ab off after im done with the frigs and orbit the BC while they miss me all the time only tested it on Sansha the first setup is alot better for tanking and the 2nd gets a slightly higher dps wich makes it more fun to fly.
The second spec is almost exactly one I used for the same spawns. Until my corp convinced me I could do the same thing, and still have some effect in PVP in a punisher.
They were right, but that spec is still fun as hell to run around and speed tank in if you're amarr, and dont have an intercepter.

I believe you just implied that someone may be putting t2 rigs on an executioner. Please tell me you had some hidden meaning in your post?

I use my Executioner exclusivly for my shopping trips around 0.0 CloakII so I can hide where ever and a salvager for those wrecks you come across flying through the gates. A cap chargerII and a MWDII on the mid Local hull conversion nano and local hull conversion inertial stab on the low.
With this setup I warp as soon as the cloak drops, I also use the Cloak to allow me to alline if I feel I need a bit of a boost. :) Runs the MWDII non stop travling at just under 4000 M/S
I realise that this is a fair bit of ISK to have on a lil frig but I have yet to lose an executioner and I've always got my items safly back home.. Had to run a particularly nasty system camp today and for the first time some one actually hit me twice befor I jumped out bringing my armor down to 88%. Any way I hope someone finds this setup usefull and likes it as much as I do

I use the executioner as a fast loot stealer ship, not for combat, while i am running deliveries and find stuff that can be stolen and wrecks to be salvaged, I've used various designs:
High: 2 x salvager Medium: small peroxide capacitor battery and some sort of MWD Low: instabs, overdrive, nano, even sometimes hull expanders, depending on the mood
You can warp into a likely spot at huge range, zip in, lock the wreck, start the salvagers and by the time you come to a stop you've salvaged and can loot the jet can, too. Great runabout, I love this ship but I can't imagine using it in actual combat. What it is good at is running.

I think I'd exchange the Nano II for a Second Over II. And, I agree with previous guy... No T2 rigs... 2 Polycarb 1s
