Hi
I'm sure I used to have 2 "connections" social skills that gave me an increase to R&D research points.
I'm sure one of them was called high-tech connections (coz I have it trained to lv 5 - and I can't think of any other reason why I would have trained it so high)
Has this skill been changed in the last patch? - it doesn't mention R&D as being affected by it anymore.,
If so -= are there any skills now that do give a bonus to R&D points? I've search on the forums but haven't found anyone else complaining about this.
Perhaps I imagined it all from the very start...... ;-)

Hmmm, it almost looks like they were anticipating going from RPs to Loyalty Points for the R&D BPO lottery, but then changed their minds, or didn't want that skill to effect it when they did switch it to Loyalty Points. I'm pretty sure that it did include R&D agents before. Interesting...

The skill never affected RnD points in the first place or it wasnt supposed to anyway.
All it does it affect loyalty points, which RnD agents dont have

you get RP(research points) for doing R&D missions, not LP

The specialized Connections Skills ONLY affect Loyalty Points, they have NEVER affected Research Points.
R&D was mistakenly added to the list of Divisions simply because it was one of the NPC Corporation Divisions - but you never got Loyalty Points from doing R&D missions.
CCP took R&D out of the High Tech Connections Skill description because it has no affect on points from R&D Agents.
