kieron	Posted - 2006.01.11 22:28:00 - [2] Oveur posted a Dev blog this afternoon about the Dev efforts to assist the GM's in clearing the petition queue. Due to the password reset issue, and other recent issues, the petition queue reached over 4000 petitions. Due to the Herculean efforts of the GM's and Devs, the petition queue was knocked down to 2000 petitions this evening. We plan on repeating this tomorrow in an effort to clear the petition queue completely. We ask for your patience and understanding during this time period, and apologize for any inconveniences that have been caused as a result. So basically yer saying that since the gm's are busy because of probelms caused by rmr's premature release, the lag it's caused, the bugs it has, a "panic attack" resetting of pwords leaving some people unable to play ( 7 days since I've logged onto my second account ), repetitions because they hurried through a petition ( they reset the password on this account isntead of the second account I petitioned for by mistake ), etc, etc, all problems caused by CCP's decisions on how to "best" run there game, the players should just grin and bear it and absorb crippling loss's? While I have every bit of sympathy for the guys working through these petitions, I also realize that these petitions are caused in a large part by decisions CCP made and quite frankly the only thing keeping me from canceling ( well, besides the fact that I can't even log in to cancel my second account lol ) is the fact that CCP is making an extra effort to accept there responsability for this mess and clean it up as quickly as possible.

Well if you think about why people send in 17 of the same petitions.. Getting an auto reply for days or mabe weeks in your mail box is getting people frustrated. People are getting impatient and want to play the game Dont get me wrong i am not saying its right to send in the same petittion 17 times.. But i also remember that not so long ago the petition system was broken. You have typed you whole story indetail what happend.. And you get an reaction 4 days later that they didnt recieved your petition at all.. And if you can send it another time. How frustrating is that.. It has to come both ways. I have informed ccp in my petitions but they just ignore them as normal 1 week and all you get is jokes about imperial apoc... maybe they should spend less time on the forums and more time sorting the issues out I week is unacceptable and now 1 week will cost me 4 weeks of training and what will ccp say? sorry have a few days free. Even though i have probably spent ú600 in the last few years in subscription. I`m afraid that we have only third option :((( As for me. I just want additional skillpoints. I did calculations using skill traing calculator and know i know how much SP I can have on the day I chose. So I just want GM`s review my petition first (051229-000324) because I can`t play since 25-26th of December. And the we find a solution how to compensate... I think it is fair. They loose nothing. Sorry kieron are you saying if we don't ask for it we won't be compensated ? I read earlier a clear post saying if you had to wait more then 1 day compensation would be automatic.... please clarify... if goodwill on the part of CCP has to be asked for its hardly goodwill ! Plus perhaps the genius in GM petition queue management in you might see that asking for people to request compensation might actually generate more petitions then you want right now ??? Devlin Marr	Posted - 2006.01.14 20:46:00 - [75] Your not alone I petitioned about my account being hacked and my isk being transferred on the 10th of Jan and all I have received is an automated response of its being looked into.I keep login in to check for any updates and as yet there have been none. I am loath to transfer any isk into my hacked account until I know it is safe to do so. Unfortunatly CCP have been very tight lipped about these hacks and where the hackers got in. I know they are probably not going to post anything until they have this all sorted (If they do post anything at all), but it would be good to know if they are still on the case over these hacks.

This was when the petition system was 'broken'. I sent in in-game when I was told to.. I sent it through the 'ask a question' system here.. I sent it direct email to the support staff. No replies. No answers. Nothing. And, since it was a loss of about 1.5 billion isk worth of goodies, it's not like it's too easy to just say 'ah, no biggie'. But I've been patient. Maybe someday I'll get an answer.
