After being on my first serious pirate hunt last night I was pleasantly surprised by the conversation between the hunters and the hunted. No abuse or blatant bad language, witty banter between intelligent people. On another positive note. DDH Superman is cool, as far as I'm concerned. I managed to get podded, pretty much by my own carelessness. As I got to the gate I saw Superman engaging someone else. I thought I would sneak past in my egg, but the other guy left. There I was looking at Supermans ship. I've got a clone so a pod killing would'nt be the end of the world. But Superman did'nt engage or harass me. Minutes later two other ships turned up and Superman legged it. Unfortunately I did'nt get the names of my would be saviours. But I did send a mail to Superman thanking him for not pking me. I also expressed my thanks to the pirates for making the game what it is. Without them I would have had another boring night mining.

Most run away the second I open fire. No, it doesn't take balls to down shuttles at jumpgates, but shuttles sometimes ferry skills or blueprints and other valuables, so they're usually worth shooting down. There's nothing wrong with blockading a gate with multiple ships, it simply ensures we hold the gate. ------ ROBBLE ROBBLE
