Should we expect them after the expansion announcement next week? Would make sense I guess because then the NDA sections can be included.

Our initial plan was to release them in chunks as they were completed. We will probably have the first chunk done around the time of the expansion announcement -- slower than we had hoped but apparently some people are having RL get in the way, plus people are learning just how much work actually goes into doing the work.
With respect to the team sessions (where we discussed what each team was working on), the amount we can say will depend on how much CCP says about the Winter expansion content, and also we want to respect each team's level of comfort. So those sessions will come out last, and most likely come out with or just after a specific devblog related to that team's features -- that would be the point where we could go into the most detail about the discussions. Some of us also write in a very dry, technical fashion by nature and so need extensive review by themselves or others to produce something more readable.

Perhaps CSM8 might want to follow what I did for the last CSM summit, and post a public status thread with each session listed, along with who is supposed to be working on it and the status. See this post for an example. CSM 7 Secretary CSM 6 Alternate Delegate @two_step_eve on Twitter My Blog

I wasn't posting to mean "hurry up", but more just to get an idea on a timeline. This CSM doesn't post very often, at least not on these forums. So I wasn't sure if a timeline had been posted on some 3rd party forum that not everyone reads, or if there wasn't a timeline because they were waiting on the official announcements.

We don't post often?
Okay
Well we have over half of them written now and the rest are being polished. Then they go to the gnomes of Reyjavik who ise red pens big enough to go in the local museum. They have to read all our stuff and redact any top secret beans we might have spilled.
We are working on it. Some hideously fast (Ripard and Trebor). Me, slower (been sick this week and unable to sit at the keyboard even)

After reading last Jester's article I guess next week or one after is more likely for us to see minutes? Or maybe even later?
Hopefully tomorrow CCP will provide enough drama/rage inducing things to keep us happy until then :) I am not my skills but... http://eveboard.com/pilot/Schmata_Bastanold |

Oh no. I read that same article and it looks like just a little more than half are done and those JUST got back to CCP for NDA review. I think, at the CSM8's current rate of progress, we'll probably see the August minutes in last week of October. He's not just famous, he's "IN" famous. - Ned Nederlander

So, how's it going with those minutes? Is there a chance to get them before devs will post about all changes for Rubicon? And if not will they contain anything interesting about future or NDA will be applied all the way? Because maybe there's no point to waste your time? :) I am not my skills but... http://eveboard.com/pilot/Schmata_Bastanold |

It's important to get these while they still remain relevant. This timeline as it has been in the past, makes the minutes less relevant as time does by.
I can appreciate that it's not easy.
Can we get the minutes session by session as the become "polished" and approved? It's easier to digest than a data dump anyway. The only end-game content in EVE Online is the crap that makes you rage quit. |

Last update from Jester makes it pretty clear that CCP is busy with damage control of recent dramas and had put review of delivered minutes on backburner. I have no idea if there is any point of waiting on that document because even if it will be finally released we will already know everything from dev blogs or F&I threads.
I have to say it was nice waste of everybody's time - CSM members writing minutes and us hoping to see them on time before expansion. Next CSM should just scratch an idea of writing anything and enjoy their free time. It is not like players will be disappointed any more they are right now. I wonder what % of the minutes will be about Rubicon "surprise" stuff and what % is going to be worth the wait.
In case that your maths are as faulty as mine, let me state that we're 27 days to Rubicon and 54 since the summer summit. The Greater Fool Bar is now open for business, 24/7. Come and have drinks and fun somewhere between RL and New Eden! |

I doubt there is any big surprise stuff waiting for us. I would gamble if there is it is something that will change Eve but in the long run rather than with Rubicon release. Devs seem to constantly hint that what we will get now is just a foundation for future so I guess most of changes are in backend systems that nobody really will notice until they will implement features out of them. Features like new modules, ships, ways of travelling, fleet, corp and asset management, something everybody can click or see or experience by some butterfly effect. Jester/Ripard has an update here:
http://jestertrek.blogspot.com/2013/10/csm8-status-report-week-twenty-four.html
Complete with a Dinsdale post already I see. Always interesting.
Please do remember it's not done till it's released, so don't forget to bug Dolan. That's an important part of activism.
I do continue to advise to release individual session minutes as they become available/approved, instead of waiting for them all to be done. I believe I noted that was something that was considered/planned this time. I do understand a number of them were done fairly quickly but not yet approved? Sitting in Dolan's inbox?
The minutes are on the verge of becoming of historical interest only. Mitigating factors not withstanding *cough*blinkgate*cough*, the value of the minutes decreases rapidly over time.
CSM has worked with CCP to get them to release information earlier. The dev blogs I think obviated the need for the minutes a bit. And part of the credit for that does go to CSM, but still very frustrating to not have the minutes. Both CSM and CCP need to look at doing better on the minutes though, just embarrassing for both parties.

If they have no influence on this then something is deeply broken.
While it's not entirely under their control, they should be hammering Dolan to get his side done. Tracking down which devs need to sign off on things and poking them to do so. If it is stuck then they need to be speaking up. (Which they are, tentatively, as is probably appropriate at this juncture.)
Not willing to give them a free pass on this entirely. Am willing to agitate on their behalf to CCP.
Free the Minutes CCP! While it still means something. (And get those last couple done would ya CSM?)
