Kernite only respawns on certain days, that day probably hasn't come yet. You can also search the forums for threads about general problems with ore not respawning.

I have found that the Luminous Kernite and Fiery Kernite 'roids seem to be lasting a lot less than they used to....

I too was wondering if there was a kernite respawn problem. I guess it could be due an increase in the number of miners, but theres just no kernite available to mine in empire, and the price of isogen seems to be rising.
I know what some of you will think - go mine out of empire, but its hard to justify going to 0.0 just for kernite.

sucks about the kernite, tuesday and thursday huh? I wiped out 5 belts this week so now I know why it hasn't spawned back

thats a bit daft respawning only on tuesdays n thursdays ... with the growign number of players in eve now compared to when i first started (almost double) then they need to revise alot of ore n perhaps think about doubling the amount. or making them spawn everyday

The Wizard that spawns them is takign a break and I say he deserves it hes been working 23/7 for 1 and a half years sense his master died and he has to take his place as "the wizard that did it" thats always why theres lag because hes not there to magical fix it

Kernite? Whats this kernite you speak of?
I hardly see any kernite a day or two after they normally respawn. And that sucks, because tuesday and thursday nights I work, so I can't get online to mine it =(

May I enquire as to where you found this information? (I'm going to assume you roid scanned it, and noticed an increase on tuesday and thursday right? Because the days it grows aren't listed in the tutorials )

It's not the respawn rate that is the problem. It's the number of miners, plus the macro miners that usually cause the problem. Eliminate the macro miners!

Tuesdays and Thursdays. Omber and Kernite. Perhaps some other ores, too. Not sure of the wisdom of the Tuesday/Thursday respawn, as it means belts are rather empty by Sunday and Monday... But oh well. ;)

I know of a few belts that get stripped of their Kernite a couple of hours after it has spawned on tuesdays and thursdays ... quite annoying really, when you're searching for a bit of Isogen to build your own ships ...

And also an infinite supply of PvPers, Alliancers, pirates, wannabee-pirates, and a healthy dose of morons that will blow your ship just because they can.
I know there's a good supply of rare roids in 0.0, I choose to stay in 1.0~0.5 (you could say that it was for medical reasons, even).

Kernite on tues/thurs?
Nope Not true. i have seen kernite appear the next day. With that said, I have not mined for a month or so, but the increase of miners means someone has beaten you to it.

Actually - yes - tue/thur respawns for kernite and jaspet in the systems I mine (7 or 8 diff systems from .7 to .4). I mine daily - have seen this pattern for weeks. Before RMR it was every downtime. It has changed. I have verified it by being on before downtime and right after and seen them come back.
And there are people out there who log in on tue/thur after DT just to strip the kernite (i'll assume that this true to ombar also). I think we may not have heard about this from the devs as they didn't want people to start doing this - but it has happened anyway.

Yes - lots of people on Tues and Thurs after dt and for the next 24 hours......have watched them for months and months. Omber in Gallente space, Tues & Thurs since I started 8 months ago - apart from a little glitch after RMR when there were all teh threads that noticed!

Are ores have different respawn rates, the higher Quality ore, the longer the respawn rate.
But I beleive other high end ores respawn every day, as long as you don;t pop the roid.

Popping a roid make no difference. That is a myth. Please help kill the myth.
I'll verify tonight and tomorrow night if veldspare respawns every day or just tue/thursday with everything else.
Tonight I'll put a hole in a belt 30k wide. I'll see what's there thursday morning (after DT). I'll repeat tomorrow night and see what's there on friday morning (after DT).

Edited by: Kery Nysell on 16/02/2006 09:55:02 I can certify that Veldspar, Scordite, Plagioclase and Pyroxeres respawn every day, at least in secure space (1.0~0.5).
I mined two to four belts per day for the last 4 months before saying that

Good work - I will look forward to what you discover. The way I understand the roid respawn is that once a roid is popped it is not guaranteed to be the same roid type that is regenerated, But the belt will try to respawn with a constant number each type of roids.

OK,
In the system I mined almost clean last night did not respawn at all this morning after down time. I'll check again after work tonight (eastern US). Here are some screen shots for the belt:
These four are from thursday night pre downtime. Each shows just one ore type. Screenshot of kernite ScreenShot of Pyroxeres Screenshot of Scordite Screenshot of Veldspar
This screenshot is of all roids still in the belt after downtime - they are the same ones as the night before when I finished - just 11 roids for veldspar. After Downtime Screenshot
This looks like nothing respawned at down time this morning. I'll check this belt every day and see when roids start to regen.
Hope people are finding this helpful.
Now go out there and don't get dead!
