There are 2 agents in my part of space who offer R&D level 1 missions Each time I try to accept a mission from them, or even try to talk to them they tell me I don't have the skill set they need
Question, what skill do I need, or do my Science skills need to be well train (lvl 2+) I can already do level 2 mission for other agents, so now it's a pride thing to get a mission from them
Thanks Ghostbear
PS: if it helps the agents are from Noghere vii, and Yona in Gallente space in Essence |

So check the agent's info and make sure that you the specific science skill for at least one of the research areas.

R&D agents aren't like other mission agents. The missions they offer are trivial (buy a couple hundred units of trit, courier an item a few jumps)
R&D agents are there to provide data cores. You need science skills trained up to access them. Each agent has 2 science skills the look for. Once you have those skills and standing with the corp, you can ask the agent to 'research' for you. That gets them generating data cores (slowly). Once they are researching for you, the missions are offered once a day at most and just get you an extra day's research points, no ISK, no LP.
Unless you are looking to generate data cores, ignore those agents. If you are, you want the L4 agents, not the L1, the L1 are a complete waste of time as the generate LP very, very slowly. The science skills they want are, for the most part, only useful for T2 invention and manufacturing. |

A few patches ago ccp added a 2nd datacore stream to the game Faction Warfare pilots can exchange their FW LP for datacores as well as other standard LP Store items
afaik this devalued r&d datacores significantly |
