I'm sick and tired of people complaining about lag and other performance issues.
As Eris keeps pointing out the devs are working towards a solotion.
The new hard ware is comming next month not in months like alot of people think.
Also if you havn't done everything you can to make sure it them and not you then please do the following or shut up!
A) Read this and try Flaxes suggestions out.
B) Read this and try Bruins suggestions out.
C) Run both SpyBot S&D and adawre using the lastest updates.
D) Run Norton
E) Check to see what app are making connection from your computer by doing the following.
i)Click Start then run
ii)Type cmd then click ok
iii)In the black DOS command window type netstat
If you see any thing funny or if the list is more than 10 long you may need to shut down a few background apps to free up your connection.
F) Make sure UDP port 26000 is opened up on both your firewall and your router
G) Update drivers, ALL OF THEM, video, sound and, eithernet cards being the first that come to mind.
H) Sacrifice a beer in the name of Oveur
I) Repeat H for each dev, except Hammerhead he perfers Boobies, I'm sure some old playboy mags will do tho
If you haven't tried this stuff don't post your 3rd grade level whines. If you have tried this stuff STILL don't post your stupid ass whines.

So you're going to whine about whiners whining?
Say that three times fast. :P
Personally the ones doing the complaining are the ones who give the most feedback to the devs about problems with the game.
I'd rather everyone who whines about whiners whining just shut up and deal with it.
Complaint threads are fairly obvious when looking at the title of some threads. Yet you choose to read them.
Don't read them so we don't have to see you whine.

He is obviously not whining as he is doing something to allivate the problem rather then just going "X sucks.. fix it"

this lag has nothing to do with what programs I have running in the backround.
It's been alright lately though.. for a few days there it was so insanely bad I wasn't able to do anything. I, personally, think CCP appreciates the 'whine' posts because it helps them understand just how bad the lag is.
You have to remember, this game is HUGE. 6k systems, 20k players on at any given time.. without player input there is no way CCP could keep up with all of it.
not saying people don't overboard, but why blame them? They pay for a game, they at least shouold be able to ***** and moan when it isn't working right.
and I want to say it again, CCP are adults.. they can handle a bit of criticism. They've been running an MMORPG for 3(?) years now, if a few posts on forums with people threatning, *****ing and bashing CCP phases them in the least bit then they seriously need to toughen up. As the game grows it will just get worse and worse.
Lag, macro miners, rollbacks, CCP is in the big leagues now. and it's even more of a challenge for them because of the insanely high hardware requirements this game needs.

AVG free by Grisoft is better than Norton.
Also, you can get a free virus scan at www.trendmicro.com.

What I don't like is ppl like you assuming we can't distinguish something wrong with our rig/connection from blatantly obvious inability of the hardware/game design to cope with the current playerbase.
Hell we couldn't even do 100x100 battles when we had 4k ppl online, why should we be able to do so now with 20k

Lets just say I am assuming that their is a percentage, not all, of people that can't. Just as I assusm their is a percentage of people, not all, in the world that wouldn't live past 20 if it wasn't for our friend the safty lable telling us that it's bad to sick our limbs in lawn mowers and wood chippers while they are running.
And if you haven't figured it out yet, yes I like to add a dash of sarcasm to my posts. Now go lick the A/C outlet thire is no lable saying not to so it should be ok. Go have fun now.
