Not sure if this belongs here or OOPE but anyone know if there is an EVE mod for Civ V?

I have been playing the new expansion and i would love to see a mod for Civ V based on the eve universe...

you could make it like alpha centauri but the main difference is each world would start off right after the eve gate blew up...

Please tell me there is... and if not who to poke to make one

example: you start off on Ammar prime but as we know there were several different people who lived on that planet before it was taken over by the Ammar. so in that scnario you could be the ammar or any other of the surviving races.

I'm pretty sure it's called Sins of a Solar Empire.

SoaSE is pretty close in that respect. It's far more combat oriented than civ for victory but an interesting strategy game.

Even if some people made all the 3D models for the Eve ships, stations etc, it would take a several years from a single modder to make such a total conversion mod for Civ 5 (we're talking about 3000 - 5000 workhours without making 3D models). Plus you need to learn Lua programming language if you don't know it already since Civ 5 uses that for modding. So if you had a team of 3D artists, 2D artists, coders, sound artists, mod designers and so on (10-20 people), you could perhaps make a such mod in a year. Anyway, you should ask the question at CivFanatics where all the Civ modders lurk.
