Can anyone confirm that they have been able to log in occasionally?
Valar; Without knowing the exact consequences of the stuff you are meddling with, is it so that either you are done or the server is not accesible. As in; You need to have your stuff working before we get a chance to log in? As in; When you say that you will crash it now and again - its really more the constant, than the exception? And don't you stop working at least a few hours a day, so we can have it to ourselves in that period? :)
Anyways, no probs on the server being down for the stated reasons. Just wondering if I can stop trying every 10 minutes? :)
Running 3865 - is that correct?
I'll leave it running at night with 3865. I've been testing on it 12+ hours every day since Singularity was moved. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games How to write a good bugreport |

So is it up or down? Would be nice to know, so I know whether the problem is at my end or if the server is simply down.

Valar: Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
Though you need to use bigger letters apparently.

I always find it ammusing when people complain about a test server being down. People should be glad CCP even runs a test server that players can use, instead of just making the TQ the single only server anyone can get on and keeping all testing out of player hands. Yet when the Devs are Testing on the Test server (omg, That almost sounds like what it was.. CREATED for) and having to keep it unavailable due to the tests that are being run in an attempt to make TQ better, people get ****y. It's only a damn test server, you'll survive without it.

Complaining aboout it not being available, is somewhat ok, if they say that it should be and indirectly encourage you to use it, and it goes down for a long period in the middle if a test without prior information.
But its not something you SHOULD have access to. Its a priviledge.
And at the present we even have a reason - and more than daily updates ffs - for why its down and when we can expect it to be up.
Sisi is nice to have - but its not something you have paid for. So stop demanding people, and at least try to act grown up.
And again: 1000 Chuck Norris points for Valar for keeping us in the know. (Still a long way up to the 1 million CNPs that t20 earned by releasing an sql version of the data extracts, though - but 1000 is still good).

ok then someone tell me when it will next be online so i can test stuff, and the devs are not the only ppl who test on there, players do as well and without the input from both side eve would have more bugs than an a rain forest,

They were having some problems creating patches for sisi since they moved some stuff around. the server will be available again when they can release new patches. Best thing to do right now is just sit tight and watch this thread for another post by Valar.

Hi there,
I've been frantically scouring the forums looking for an up-to-date server status report pertaining specifically to the singularity test server and I'm assuming that this thread constitutes the closest aproximation.
Could any dev's or pals of dev's in the know grace me with a current status update. I can only hazard a guess at the sort of workload that maintaining a public test server must entail and I'm not ungrateful for the priveledge.
however, in the cut-throat universe that is 'noobhood', the test server is the only platform from which I can afford a truly uncompromising glimpse into PvP play without falling foul of the inevitable hazards associated with low-sec combat.
Kind regards,
Caine 607

Thanks for all your efforts Valar!
But may i ask that we think about a mirror again? I know it must take age's but surely it would be a good idea before the Yarrdware arrives and TQ is phyiscally down EG unplugged
That way you can let us players try and build a mountain like that of TQ pettions out of bug reports in the 24 hours that TQ is down.
Cheers again.!

Edited by: Trak Cranker on 06/02/2006 15:36:30 Valar, the test server is up using 2.09.3805 now.
Before I make a a fresh 2.09.3805 dir, can you confirm that its intentional and advice regarding rolling my test install back or not?
Or is something bigger brewing?
