Maybe they should ban the people who don't inspect before they claim, and when they do claim don't read the pop-up box listing the contents of the escrow before confirming.
Escrow is annoying, but there is nothing wrong with a tax on the stupid.
yup, i'm with that. but being able to block characters who you know to be scamming by name just to clear the **** i'll never fall for off my escrow screen would make me happy.

ffs, this isn't about the idea we'd fall for them. its the fact i can't see a ******* escrow that is real, becuase they all get pushed off the damn page (which has a limit on how many it displays) by a a load of ****. i would never buy a lump of carbon thinking it was a charon. but something i MIGHT WANT TO BUY has been pushed off the page by that. and i'd block bookmarkking too

CCP have already said escrow scammign is part of the game - so they wont do anythgin about it.
Just chek the items before you buy or here is a even better idea - dont bother using it at all - practically all the items can be put on the market now so your not missing out on anythign big with escrow anymore.
Tried set my navy galente on the market did not show up all
The scams are mostly made by the trails i think

I also later suggested clientside filtering. 
What I don't support it CCP protecting people from their own stupidity. Darwin > CCP.

I always do that, except like some others said earlier: I'd like to end the annoyance and ban those from my list as soon as I find out they're trying to scam.

Ofcourse it sounds to good to be true if a Raven is on escrow for 60mill, I would still inspect it though, hehe. And when I see 1 tritanium or 1 raven bpc 1-run instead I would like to have the option to ban the f-er from my list.

i am fully aware that scams are part of the game, but does that mean that escrow doesn't work very well for anyone who actually wants to use it now? you have to realise someone is scamming before you filter them anyway, so it won't really affect the ********s who fall for it. all it will mean is that ESCROW WORKS FOR SOMETHING OTHER THAN SCAMS.
i'd hate for scams to be removed from eve, they are one of things that make it unique, but thats no excuse for allowing scams to totally break another, more widely used game feature

A blocklist would be nice. Could be implemented just on the client side, so no lag argument against it.
I never got scammed, but these people waste my time. When I browse the escrow, it always goes like this:
'Ah, nice offer. Probably a scam, right ?' ... check ... 'Yes. scam. boring. Next one.' 
Ok, sometimes they are funny like yesterday: 'Charon for 90,000,000 isk and 1 carbon inside.'
I don't know what these guys think. If e.g. they try to be really clever to make it look like they are really offering a charon and forgot one '0' or if they don't think that far and just type in a price that comes into their mind.

Scams aren't a problem to me on Escrow.
The big problem is when the same handful of people sell their bundles of BPCs and I have to scroll through a few hundred BPCs for the same 3-4 ships.

Problem with that though is that quite often a batch of 20 or 30 battleship BPCs all sell very quickly, so you actually need to list them all.

For christ sake. This game is about using your brains. Simply put - do not spend money on escrow without checking - it's common sense. CCP deliberately take a low interferance approach on matters such as scamming, corp theft, etc... because this makes the game more diverse and interesting to play.
I am sick of reading posts by idiots like you who because you have not been using your brains start to copmlain about how this game works. If you want a game where you have to play nicey nicey and by the rules, where you can gt an expensive item back if you accidently sell it for less money than it's worth, where you cannot go around killing people in safe space, and where you wish to sit and accumalate ingame currency and do jack with it then go and play another game such as WoW or Guild Wars.
I for one love the risk factor involved in this game, and will quit as soon as CCP start listening to whiners such as you as I'm sure many others will too. Not because I am a escrow scammer or thief (although I have tried it before - my attempts failed), but because this game is a much better game than the competition in my opinion because of this.
If you don't like it - leave and play something else.

It Probably has already been mentioned but i think its the Information window in Escrow, The Server Should automaticly Paste the name of what is being escrowed into it.that way Scammers wouldnt exist.as they wouldnt be able to put in 1 trit and call it an apoc.

I'd like to see where in the game that escrow "scammers" are doing something that can get them banned. Please show me that one, I'd like to see it.
If you get scammed on escrow, slap yourself for not taking the extra two seconds to click on "inspect" and move on with your life with the thankful thought that at least somone didn't take your RL money for that oceanfront property in Arizona.
