Damnation and Eos get the same bonuses to armor boosting. The Skirmish links from the Eos would be awesome if it was at all survivable on grid in a large fleet. But with the way it is now, it will simply get alphaed right off the field. If you use it for boosting, do it from off-grid until CCP ends that practice.
If you're talking about small to medium gangs, then the Eos should be fine.

Damnation for fleet warfare, Eos for gangs. The Eos has an absolutely monstrous active tank if you fit it right, and coupled with the drone bay and bandwidth gets very good dps at a range of anywhere within around 70km. Even more if your targets are foolish enough to get within blaster range. The Damnation, on the other hand, is not built to dish damage and fight. It sacrifices combat ability (and although you can fit it with cruiser-sized launchers, don't) in favour of tank. With a relatively cheap fit and command ships V you can get around 300k ehp (before links) out of the armor alone. With links and a more expensive fit, this can get to the 700k mark. Save the Domi model! Spacewhales should be preserved. |

I haven't looked at how the PG/CPU on the Astarte/Absolution is now, but they got the same boosting potential as the Damnation/Eos.
Both the Astarte and Eos has the same active tank bonus. Damnation does get more HP than the Absolution though which only gets the resist bonus. |
