It's long and it's quite big I know. :) (poor pencheven) The first 15 minutes are small ops. The last bit is mainly a huge fleet battle (about 30-40 vs 100). At the end ASCN even deployed Dreads though they aren't in the movie. The movie doesn't show any ganks or a lot of ambiance shots, it's mainly the fighting. So it's probably more interesting if you know one or two things about PvP :). Concerning the music. I tried to find something that wasn't used before and still uses the same style. It probably isn't everyones taste but Nightwish wasn't an option ;). Resolution: 1154*864 Runtime: 42:03 Size: 1,32 GB File: Episode II - ASCN War So here you go and have fun with your DSL hehe

There are numerous other Fraps and screen shots from the battle for verification. Other than that, great job. Impressive amount of footage here. I would also say, in my opinion, that this was the only true fleet battle in the war. All the rest were so heavily lagged to be comical; whereas this one was a blast. gf to Cataclysm and IRON.

Look at the G killboard there are statistics. I'm not going to argue here considering the amount of ASCN guys we killed multiple times. And could you point me to the other fraps? Because I didn't see them yet.

Yes, you had massive kills (I lost 3 ships) because it was in one of our home systems. But kills and gang size are very different...and I can assure you it was not 100. Let me see if I can go find some of my screenies.

(did you participate with another char in that fight? because judging from your killboard you didn't with Notleh) but you should answer this via evemail since this is the video thread not a discussion one about that particular fight.

Not trying to derail or flame it, just trying to make sure the facts are straight (since you say we had over 100). Check Notleh's screenshot for verification on gang size. Also, check that same SS if you want to see what character he was there as. (I was there as Josclyn Verreuil, not this one :))

Very nice footage to cover the whole without having to fight on the boards. I especially like the part where the commander goes into structure, gets tackled and quite calm asks for support finally making it out. Minus: The music guitar bashing over so long gets a bit annoying to me, no offense. As for the size, I think half the resolution would do fine and greatly decrease filesize. Also as suggested try using DivX or better Xvid getting an .avi. A great resource on that is here. Looking forward to future vids...

Its obvious I guess that you guys are very well organised on the strategic level knowing exact numbers of particular groups on the map at a given time. Next time this goes off we need independant filmakers showing the fights and numbers of poses on a timeline as it happens.

It was in the middle of night nearly all G members were already in bed and after not getting a proper fight for ages we were quite bloodthirsty.
k starwind	Posted - 2006.01.19 00:14:00 - [59] ye was a great fiht and i didnt die \o/. one of my corp mates lost an apoc a geddon and a maller in that fight. i think you should see i Femme Extrema has any fraps from that fight if he does you will see the number if times he had me jammed every ime i warped in i was jammed so all props go to him. our gang was not 100 but every time someone lost a ship he would jump in a new one and come back to the action. we had equal numbers starting the fight but we kept on coming and coming and ended up alone left on the battle field. after all that is said good movie i would have also put the fight in 2x speed and mad it a bit shorter, and to those that were not there that battle lasted over 2hrs of constant fighting and no lag Signature removed - File size too large.Laurelin

The movies resolution is 1154*864 (0.99 mpixel) while TV and Movies are 704+576 (PAL Europe) or 720x480 (NTSC DVD). So TV and Movies are 0,345 mpixel. That mains it has 1/3 of the pixels per frame. And the bittrate was not 8 but 4.6 Kbit/s. It's high and perhaps 3.5 would work without much quality loss (about 1gb) aswell but 2 or 2.5 would make quite a difference in quality. Concerning divx. I've tried it in the past but wmv9 just gives better quality/filesize for eve movies.

Im sure its a great video.. But yes, I feel your pain hehe.. Im not 100% sure if im right on this, but by the sounds of it you renderd it in very high quality yes? .. I did so too with Empire War and it went to about 300MB... If you lower the quality abit you can still get a great looking picture for much less space.. Although if its 40 minutes then its seems acceptable.. Witness the power of an unleashed Pen!!!

The logistics deployed together with the contant bashing through road blocks where never seen before in Eve. On top of it we deployed half our dread fleet in the final stages to pickup the experience. Props to ASCN. Although many of you were forced into this war I hope you had as good as fun as we had. I personally hate it with a passion and to see it being constantly used on anything with more than 3 meds is just disgusting. Excellent editing for starters,esp the map updates with the fleet movements. Also,the storyline text was nice and set the mood in an effective manner. Then we have some really nice TS discipline,i always like some TS in the movie. Finally,we get interesting fights,not only in the sense of an average participant,but from 1st person perspective. The part where the megathron is tackled and escapes in structure is amazing,as well as the tempest smashing the gatecamp and getting pounded in the process. Awesome work by your support guys in the big fleet battle,they were all over the place and did their job in a wonderful manner. It almost made me feel like it was MY ship about to go boom.Feeling a part of the action is what makes or breaks any film and this one was truly worthy of the big download,not only as far as editing goes,but the content was amazing as well (and lag was minimal too). The added bonus for a WWII history addict like myself? It reminded me of a mix between a WWII movie and cyberpunk in space. Calm,organised combat against superior numbers coupled with typical german electro music,syntesizers, and a guitar assault by what i think was most definitely rammstein. Esp the cover on "Boots" with the sound of marching troops in the background as the song ends was pretty cool. Even if i didn't know where G come from,i would be thinking "Wow,these are Germans going to war for sure" and it is nice when the video speaks for the players involved not only with its content and editing,but also with the overall feeling. I got an urge to start playing Silent Hunter III again and sink allied shipping
