You keep making the best MMO out there and giving us what we love and we will continue to play and tell the world about it.
Honestly, given the sheer number of subscription difference between EVE and WOW the outcome of these awards should tell you just how well you guys are doing. Congrats, you deserve it.

Well done ccp, though atm a lot of people are fustrated with some of the problems we have, this result shows that the hard work and love that the entire EVE team has for the game has indeed payed of, not only in the 100k players who constantly enjoy the universe you have worked hard to create and bring to life for us..but you have now had the public recognition that EVE and CCP on the whole richly deserve.
you may say that you would not be here without us...i say that we would not be here without the work and effort of the team..and we would all missed out on one hell of a gaming expirience.

The PvP award is well deserved .. nothing comes close to the arse thrashing horror of warping blind in to a nest of laser hungry, pod crunchin maniacs intent on chopping the top off your egg and dipping more than a piece of toast in to your yolk!

i'm not gonna congratulate... the game is great... but the LAG sux... CCP is announcing all the big things and nothing above 20 vs 20 works like it should.
Alliances can't fight for souveregnity with dreads and all those new things if no fight with more than 50 people are impossible. And it's getting worse with every day.
I really like the game, but with every day i get more frustrated.

And that it isn't limited to just people bashing one another's skull in, but it extends over the game economy, politics and social sphere... heck, "even the forums have PvP" ;s
Each time you start thinking you saw everything EVE PvP could provide, someone comes and proves you wrong, by adding completely different tactics, areas of conflict and ways to determine the actual winner. That's the beauty of it; that it can evolve along with the game, on a scale much larger than it happens in games with more strict sets of rules, rankings and rewards.

That is what player vers player combat is all about and that is probably why it feels like my hearts about to jump out of my chest in a close engagement.

Don't you know there are thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of kids crying to their parents right now because they didn't feel like voting? How do you feel knowing people, like that one nutty bastard whose sig shows him spending over 70(WTFH?) hours on WoW over the last week, are upset that the trendy MMO didn't win?
Well, I for one, love it.
WowW players are just bitter because the only famous thing about the game (aside from the Blizzard standard: Easy as hell, non-existant customer service, rude employees) is one staged video of a guild having one of their members 'screw up' and ruin an instance.
Atleast EQ2 has the Cecilantus sex-scandal.
I don't recall either of those being in PC gamer though.

I played WoW for a week. (if EVEN). I couldn't stand the linearness of it, and it just took FOREVER to run places. I mean, I remembering thinking warping was slow... that was SLOW.

WoW is a great game and so is EVE, just different.
i agree WoW is fun in its own way. its like comparing milk to orange juice. there are a few basic similarities(like they are both liquids-EVE and WoW are both MMO's) but the similarity ends right there. and you dont see people arguing about which is better-orange juice or milk-it would be a completely ridiculous argument i stick to Eve though...

Congrats to CCP - it was a wonderful game and great depth of content etc you have created. EVE has held my attention for over a year.
However the current lag issues makes the game unplayable - maybe you guys can email the user base when its fixed. 12 gates jumped 4 emergency warp offs and 1 CTD. Can't fight in this.
The new players this award will bring really scares me.
