STK Scientific - Powering the Universe
STK Scientific is mainly an Industrial corporation based out of the Feyth region to the South of the map. WeÆre part of an alliance called, æThe Ascendant Frontier,Æ which advances in leaps and bounds everyday.
STK offers its members the opportunity to become a part of something big. We regularly take on large tasks; perhaps our largest endeavour so far was building and placing our own Outpost. We can give any player a challenge, whether theyÆre a PVPer or an Industrialist, STK can offer what you want. The members of the Corporation are from many different countries, a few of which are;
United Kingdom
Belgium
Canada
United States of America
Argentina
Australia
Korea
As you may guess, with such a diverse number of countries, STK is guaranteed to have someone friendly on 23 hours a day. Our members all help one another ingame, be it Mining, Producing, Refining, Ratting or PVPing.
Due to us being based in 0.0 we have every chance to dive in and do regular PVP battles should you decide to. We do not enforce anyone to do what he or she does not wish; however we do ask that youÆre willing to defend your Alliance.
Do not be put off by the fact that weÆre an Industrial corp, as a number of our members are PVPers who do not have any Industry links at all.
Being part of an alliance such as The Ascendant Frontier (ASCN) brings us so many different opportunities. ASCN currently has five outpost stations deployed with plans to deploy many more in the future; we have regular alliance wide operations that benefit the alliance in terms of safety of our home and members. Within the alliance we own a great many T1 and T2 BPOÆs with STK owning a large majority of these. We produce our products and sell on our regional market with the intent of creating a true player Empire.
Unlike many other corporations, STK does not give anyone a set job. Some people do take on certain roles, however we will not say to you, æYou mine Scordite while I shoot things.Æ We give you the choice to do as you choose.
A little history about STK.
We have been around since early beta and have been part of many great alliances. We helped to form the Curse Alliance, were a founding member of the ill-fated Xetic Federation and we are currently a senior member in The Ascendant Frontier.

Things that can be added for reference.
We are a small corp that out does corps 2-3 times our size.
So if we had more people we would become something un imaginable.
50-60 active players who help generate 2-3 billion profit a week and thats even after paying the miners and such.
We are small and elite this allows us to notice individuals more. So when applying we seek those who are team players, like to aim large goals this game gives and is friendly and helpfull.

Might it be worth mentioning that "The Ascendant Frontier" is currently the largest and arguably best alliance EVE has ever known. Don't believe me? Check the alliance list in the corperation tab in game.

We have had a few inductee's already and its been great, Time will tell if they see a boot print on their asses.
Our recruitment is limited as we tend to get an influx then close our doors to absorb the new recruits and get them up to speed.
Again emphasise we are a deep 0.0 corp, that means we do industrial activities as well as pvp activities, in 0.0 they go hand in hand.
If your not a pvper at least expect to loose ships, its all a mental preparation. If you can come out at the end without a ship but the right attitude i.e i can buy 3 more or mine me 10 more easy enough then your quite fit for 0.0

I've been looking for a good corp for awhile now and every time I think about it you guys are always the first choice I keep coming back to.
The problem is that I don't meet the minimum requirements listed in your recruitment thread forum. Are these current/solid?
I'm curious why an industrial corp would have the following requirement (taken from your forums):
"You must be able to field a fleet fitted Battleship that can lock and hit up to 150KM minimum. If you fly Caldari then you must be able to use a Scorpion's EW capabilities effectively."
I understand the need to defend your space but this requirement is extreme for the pure miner/Industrial types to meet.....
At any rate, it's your clan. If this is your requirement then so be it.

We need to be able to defend our space in fleet battles. Achieving this distance really isn't difficult a month, 2 max.

I don't think you'll find a more dedicated corp of great people in EVE than STK. Some of the guys do so much work for the corp and the alliance it's unreal.
I've been introduced to so many different aspects on the game since joining, I don't regret it one bit.

What about new players? Im just about to hit 4mil SP. Will be flying Amarr Cruisers in 2 days.
I have Science 5 and Research 5 if that helps in anyway!
I dont mind doing what ever is needed for the corp. Wether it be tackling in my Punisher or hauling Ore in my Badger II. I would of course like to earn ISK to buy further skills and ships.

The main reason for this is because we have had many people come to the corp before with low skill points, they struggle to survive out here and then leave after dying to hostile, to rats or they generally cannot do anything without help from others.
0.0 is a teamwork situation, but there are many times you will be solo and unable to cope alone at a low level of skillpoints.

I have been here for a little over a month and I have to say that you will not find a better corp to be a part of, in the EVE Universe. The people are very helpfull and freindly except for sku1ly :P You get the oppertunity to take part in many 0.0 activities from Fleet PvP to Corp Mining.
I really like this corp and I hope to spend a lot of time here :D

I am about a month and a week from being able to use a carrier. I am close to the amount needed to buy one, but i stil have to buy the carrier skill(450m isk) i was wondering..do we have to already own a carrier or capital ship in order to join?

Yes, you must own a capital before joining. STK does not wish to give members capital ships only to have them leave after receiving it.

Within the alliance we own a great many T1 and T2 BPOÆs with STK owning a large majority of these. Unlike many other corporations, STK does not give anyone a set job. Some people do take on certain roles, however we will not say to you, æYou mine Scordite while I shoot things.Æ We give you the choice to do as you choose.

Hi STK Scientific, First guys i'm real sorry to hear of the loss of "Steve" but thats not why i'm writing to you. So my question is - i am not a Capital pilot "YET" but will be in about 6 months from now so i don't suppose you have room for a Raven/deimos pilot who would like to start off mining in 0.0 with a good corp so he can earn enough ISK to firstly buy his Carrier skills and eventually to buy his Chimera (Complete with S---t loads of Dragonfly/Templar fighters) Mining in Empire is not very profitable and i think i will get my Carrier faster mining Arkonor rather than mining Omber in Empire. I hear you guys are a real good bunch of people so i would like to join. if not now but in the near future. I also do missions but truthfully i need experience in PVP and am willing to learn and do whatever it takes to serve my corp well.(Especially with a corp in a great alliance like ASCN) Wishing you guys the best in the future and i hope you kill as many BOB pilots as you can.
