Hey guys,
Last night I got a Latitude C600 notebook from my brother. Right now I'm in the process of reinstalling everything on it and sorting out some minor hardware problems.
I'am curious if EVE will run on it. I'm not expecting much just maybe a machine that will allow me to change skills on the go. :D
The specs are:
Intel Pentium III 850 MHz processor with SpeedStep technology 256 MB RAM 20 GB hard disk drive ATI M3 integrated video with 8 MB VRAM size
Have fun peoples and if you have some information. I'll appreciate it. :) - MadBoy ..... Quote: F1, F2, F.......... Oh wait, Im not Russian... |

im currently running eve in a dell d800...and i can tell you that the graphics card will NOT run the game on the d800 ..i had to scrounge an additional video card for its docking station .... so if you can get it to work on the 600 model the then the best of luck to you

It should run. I've installed EVE on a number of my older laptops just to see if it would and it's run on every one of them....some with alot worse specs than yours.
If it's just for changing skills and/or chatting, it should work fine...just don't try and launch

EVE CANNOT run with 8MB of graphics RAM. And even if that card had more, it still would not support EVE. -- Proud member of the [23].

it's a rage128.. they're not bad cards and can usually run the most basic 3d apps (run, not run well) though the VRAM might hold you back.. My guess is that it would run.. wouldn't hurt to try at least, try it out and let us know if you can get into the game. ________

Yeah, from what you guys are saying.. I'm guessing no one really sure about what will happen.
So, I'm going to finish installing and updating the notebook.
And, we'll see what kind of explosion I'll get out of it when I try to run EVE, - MadBoy ..... Quote: F1, F2, F.......... Oh wait, Im not Russian... |

EVE requires a Directx7 compliant video card...meaning full hardware T&L. the minimum is should run on is mobility radeon 7500s and equivilent movile geforce 1 based laptop chips. EVE WILL NOT run on a TNT2..which is just one step below a geforce 1. I play on a laptop with a mobility radeon 7500 and 32mb of ram...and it plays fine at 1024x768, but i also have 1.6ghz pentium M and 1 gig of ram....so only thing holding me back is the video.
on your laptop...I would be surprised if EVE even started.

What's the game like at 1024x768? I'd assume cramped! _________ roflfest 2006 - be there
