We all know that they are pirate friendly, as long as ther is an isk to be made. We know that they used insurance scams in the begining of the game. Now we find tht they use mining scripts to cheat and enhance their wealth. Then, they sit there and ask what "is" is. LOL, your so dirty.

I dont know or care about their past, although in the past I tried real hard to have a intelligent discussion with one of the CEO's named Calleden Nimitz, that didn't take long because Mr.TTI didnt want to answer the questions that he brought up.
Anyway, that gave me an idea about their 31337 philosophy at their page and how much of it is true, it is impressive that someone sat down for a while to write all that stuff that would never mean anything though...
Weird really...How can a "chaotic good" corp be in dealings with a, so to speak, "evil" corp?..never figured that out...

Wow. Any stretch of the truth is ok for this guy! Hey Mandos, shouldn't this thread by moved to the Anti-TTi forum?
Hahha, just kidding, perhaps just the Intergalactic Summit forum.
He definitely sounds like he's scheming.

Actually, we all get a good laugh out of it. You know he's got a sense of humor when he puts a hit out on the guy for 5 times what the guy refused to return.
That poor guy has everyone against him, even his own corp mates voted that he should return the cash in exchange for the deals offered. That's pretty sad.
Anyone that has had an incident with TTi knows that we will fess up if we make a mistake and reimburse players for their loss.
Yet despite this, we receive so much hate and angst? Oh well.

No, they catch them alive. The market value of their internal oragans could be reduced if they are podded.

I've found TTI to be a very reasonable, professional bunch of players. Most are very good at whatever they do within the game and have better ethics than most players. ___________________________________________

lol, look at all the **** riding in this thread. Stop riding each others ****s just because your in the same alliance. TTI for the most part is not a pirate corp, but that doesn't stop them from allying with known pirates to make ISK. Its all about the ISK for them. They've said time and time again, they'll do anything, and everything to make some isk, even if it is against "moral standards" in some cases.
What bothers me is being shady about their intentions, thats probably whats ****ing off everyone too. Pirates say their pirates and make their intentions clear that their going to rob you, business people...shady...

Hendrix,
Perhaps you'd be so kind as to post a link to the article where I didn't answer a question? I try to get to everyone but in all honesty as you can see by this thread (for example) the "anti-TTI" stuff is a little extensive (and pathetic) and I'm cutting down on my playing time by answering people. I've still not figured out this obsession with TTI perhaps Reclaimer could explain it?
I did respond to the email you sent me as I recall with some very thorough answers. If you had more questions you were of course welcome to write back. I thought my answers were very concise and thought out.
If you prefer I can post a copy of it here for all to see and show that I did answer your questions (which were very good by the way).

Sisqo, "What bothers me is being shady about their intentions, thats probably whats ****ing off everyone too. Pirates say their pirates and make their intentions clear that their going to rob you, business people...shady..." I have to smile as I assume this is roleplaying and your interjecting a little "real life" suspicion. I agree I've worked for some big companies and owned a few small ones and can honestly state the general public has a deep distrust of big business. Rest assured TTI isn't out to screw anyone. We're out for isk as you say and nothing more. We don't start wars because we're "bored". In fact we're not bored because our members enjoy making money (that mindset is how they got into TTI in the first place). This game is so much more then PvP I feel for the people who are counter-strike rejects and want to pod everyone in sight. Look at the market and wallet functions for example. Hell we don't even have a log for kills in this game yet you can track every unit of trit you ever owned. Now tell me how much of it is dedicated to PvP and how much to the other 90% of the game. Perhaps that is why on game after game where we see a PvP and a non-PvP server the non-PvP server is the most populated and active. I played Earth and Beyond for a few months and there was a very vocal minority screaming for PvP there. I'm sure some of the current pod-heads from EVE were among them. Waiting for the chance to kill people at random just for "fun". Oh well thats life. In real life there's people who get their jollies of hating people who are successful or rich or anything else (or just not like them) and then there are people like me who prefer to judge a man on the content of his character. I think everyone honestly knows TTI isn't a pirate corp. But it's another "reason" to hate us. Hell people were ragging on us in Beta for no reason why should it stop now. I see the same thing in America with the "soak the rich" tax lobby and bleeding hearts who blame the successful for all their problems. Nevermind I work 70+ hours every week for years to acheive something I should feel "guilty". Its the same mentality transposed onto a game. Calladen Nimitz

My personal favourite TTI conspiracy-theory is the accusation that we pay pirate corps to "do our dirty work", whatever that is, lol. Pirates, by definition are people you have to pay _not_ to shoot you, hell they start podding each other after a while if no-one else shows up.
Does anyone have a favourite more amusing/less feasible TTI conspiracy theory they'd like to share? The winner gets 10M isk, which you can collect by bringing 1000 units of bist in an indy to the Y-4CFK station and asking for "Setec". ____________________________________

First of all Mr. Nimitz, Although I did get ONE email from you, and it did end with "please feel free to ask me any other question you have", I didin't get answeres to my other 2 emails. The first email raised more questions than it answered, so I sent in 2nd and 3rd that never got answered, then you're coming here telling ppl all this stuff, why don't you paste the questions I asked?
thank you, passes the mic...

Actually I only received one email but it doesnt matter now.
I've decided to quit playing Eve. I guess I'm just a carebear who enjoys mining, producing, research and trade. I really dont want to waste my very limited playing time dealing with the Evolution kids (who must be kids because they're online all the time).
I think I can speak for most of TTI when I say all we want (or I wanted) is to be left alone. The constant attacks ingame and in the forum (going back WAY longer then the VA membership so don't use that as an excuse) are becoming a burden. I don't pay for all these accounts to be miserable.
I'll go play capitalism or something (its called my real life) and continue to work toward my goal of retiring in seven years. This aggrevation is something I don't need anyway.
Good luck to everyone,

In all honesty, I am sorry to hear you are quiting, I bet you were trying to do something good for your corp and such, but my feeling is even you don't know what TTI is doing to itself with all these philosophies on its website that does not hold up to what goes on in the game.
I have heard many stories about TTI, but if you saw my posts, I have not mentioned the ones I have heard, but only mentioned the ones I saw happening. Ear to ear does not play well, but when you see something that is not kool, you want to ask the person "why?" as I tried doing with you.
Although you say you didn't receive my last 2 emails, I have trouble believing that it was my fault. It does not matter that much now anyway.
My feelings towards TTI will stay the same, I will not forget the miner 2 bp incident and the fact that it was sold for 5 mil and I will not forget the alliance of a "chaotic good" corp with a pirate corp.
Thank you,
HendriX

Calladen,
I'd ask for your stuff but, like, it'd probably take 300 Bestowers doing multiple trips just to carry all your money
You can't leave because of anti-TTI comments! You're old enough to know that those who put themselves at the top are continuously attacked by those beneath them.
You, especially, cannot leave because you can't be bothered to deal with some Evolution pirates - that will only invite more derisive comments about TTI's s'posed lack of *******.
I think the whole anti-TTI movement has decreased somewhat lately and only exists at all because of your obtusiveness over your exact role within Venal.
P.S: Where's Jade these days?

To be honest Joshua I feel very unhappy over my decision. I'm starting a new business this fall and it will take alot of my concentration and time. I had hoped Eve would be a good "buffer" for me to relax.
"You can't leave because of anti-TTI comments! You're old enough to know that those who put themselves at the top are continuously attacked by those beneath them."
Thats part of the problem. I deal with this in real life. I remember being bused in high school to the "poor" school as part of a busing program. I remember being bused back to my "home" high school (which I couldn't attend) and having the other kids call me "cake eater" and harrassing me because my family had some money. Never mind they worked their asses off for it. I've got pictures of my father and his brother as kids fresh off the boat from Finland standing in front of a shack in Northern Minnesota. They had NOTHING. I deal with it today with the IRS constantly fighting over back taxes they say I owe (I don't and will win on appeal). I deal with it when I have my windshield spit on by some homeless guy who is mad because I have a nice car and wont give him a buck.
It isn't only the fourm posts its the whole Evolution deal. I just don't have time for them. I want to enjoy the game my way and they seem intent on ruining it for me and people like me. Personally they need to go play counter-strike where they can get killed and kill every second of every day. I don't have time for them here.
Yes the anti-TTI stuff has quieted down for awhile but it shouldn't be there at all. I remember way back in Beta this stuff going on. I just don't understand why. I'm a decent person who wants to have some fun. This isn't fun.
People talk about "carebears" like its a disgrace. We'll as a "carebear" I can honestly say I really enjoyed the 90% of the game that wasn't PvP. It's too bad others seem to find pleasure in interfering with others. Oh well life goes on. Ive got an early retirement to work towards and I'll keep in touch with many from TTI. Hell I may even change my mind after talking to Ragnar tomorrow (he'll be ****ed).
Good luck

It's just the last effort of a bunch of kids Calladen. As you said 90% of the game isn't content made for them so they get frustrated, in a couple weeks time they will notice that hitting the largest and most obvious target, tti and venal, won't change that there is no content for them to be found in anything but hitting those who enjoy the things they do aswell. At that point you'll either see a bunch more of whining posts or in a surprising turn you won't see them incase they decide to just leave the game quietly. Perhaps that's just me dreaming though, most likely it'll be another round of "I'm leaving", "This game sucks" and "goodbye carebears" threads by people...

Josephine,
Personally I think your exactly right. I'm already reconsidering my decision but to be honest after several drinks (I don't normally drink either) I'm still ticked off.
This game is so much more then PvP. I guess I'm just tired of having to feel "afraid" of being podded, killed, harrassed by these guys. I'm someone who really does give a damn and it ****es me off.
I'm going to keep my accounts open (have five) for 30 days and see if things change. Still I won't be online and I need to talk to Ragnar too (who will try to talk me out of this). I'm just very frustrated.

Calladen.
I am an anonymous guy posting senseless posts.
But still I think it's sad to see you going.
You are part of a bunch of people who made it to build something organised and working in the world of Eve, if people like you leave, then not much will be left in this game exept a big space opera quake online.
Now I think it's not right from you to put this on the account of Evolution, if that was not them, it would be someone else, Eve is a PvP game, and when you are considered the #1 corp, you can expect that you'll alway have chalengers knocking your door to get some fame/fun/money at your expense.
Unfortunately, what you are looking for, you could only find it in a non-pvp game, but in such a game, you'll see more flames on the boards, and less action in game, and the story would be just the same.
As for the richs being put under pressure by the poors, don't blame the poors, because they are victims, but blame this world to have become so empty of any good sense, look at Iraki childs paying because they got petrol under their foots, and thank god you are born on the right side of the fence.

Endyl,
Your right of course. I am very fortunate to live where I do. I guess perhaps my decision to leave is wrong. I don't know. I do know I'm really ****ed off at these juvenile antics but I also believe Josephine is correct in her assessment.
I'll probably stay in the end but I need a break. Its been a long run since beta. I guess being #1 does make you a target. Personally I've never wanted to "get #1" in real life so ingame it doesn't make much sense to me. Hell I look up to "#1" in real life as a model for how to do things.
If you want to be successful you look at those who are (my dad says that - he's 73 and the smartest man I know).

Look TTI are big, but their military is full extremely inexperienced and their internal polices regarding profit are rather stupid as well. So it was prolly natural for them to hunker up in venal. On the plus all the venal guys now get an improved chance of 'benefitting' from the large amount of polaris etc inside TTI.
Good deal all round i'd say. --
