Int: 18 Perc: 12 Char: 7 Will: 22 Mem: 18 SP: 5.24 mil
I'm going on 7 months with this game and really have a hard time getting anywhere. I can fly all races up to cruiser decently. Some up to BS. Have all skills for gunnery, but only 800K in SP. Most SP is in Spaceship command. My biggest prob atm is sticking to 1 race. I like a little bit of each race, but not enough to stick with that race for any length of time. Any ideas???
Thanks!

Have you found what type of activity you enjoy doing? I.E. pvp, mining, trade?

You would do well to specialize soon...especially if you are taking all 4 races' skills up to Cruiser and Battleship. It would literally take years and years to get good at all 4 ship racial trends (by specialty: Projectiles, Drones, Missiles, Lasers) so you will end up being not very effective on any of them, and the game may not be up forever.
I'm pretty new and I can relate to not committing :) I'm focussing on industry and science, industrial ships (minmatar and gallente) and as a result, my combat ship skills only go up to Minmatar Cruiser 3. My total sp is about 7 million. (I've done all learnings to advanced 4.)
It's just not possible to do everything well without unlimited time. If you want to mission run, the low charisma is going to slow you down on Social skills.

One thing is you trained to use all races cruisers. I HIGHLY recomend starting to Specilize. If you are wanting to do only Agent missions pick one race, if you like Mining Pick one race (barges), if you like PvP still Pick one race.
If you specilize you can use all the toys ou there, and use them well. If you try to do everything you won't. I have 33 million skill points and still can't do evrything. I specilized so I can do what I'm good at to the best of my ability.
If Cash is your issue you have to join a good corp that has the ability to generate cash. 0.0 is a good place to go for cash, Level 4 agent missions is a good place to go for cash etc.
BUt Specilize I cant' stress the importance of that enough, if you try to fly every race BS after cruisers, you will be hurting you will spend months and months trainign and be at a level of a guy who specilized and spend 1 month training

You NEED. To train. Clarity.
Especially if you are doing things like training ALL races ships. No wonder you can't get anywhere!
Train Advanced learnings to 4. Then pick a race. You can play around with other races later, you need to get good at one.

Nobody can help you with this.
Pick 1 race and stick with it.
Once you max that you can work on a second race.

My learning skills are all cool except for charisma. Mem is to advanced 4, Logic to advanced 3, Perception is to advanced 3, and Will Power is to lvl 4. Since Willpower is already 22, I think I'll let it be. I'm furthest along in Gallente, followed by Amarr, then Caldari, then Minmatar. I'm to the point of being able to train for Ass. Frig and it's a headache deciding which race is best for soloing missions with. Once I get the AF, it will be my primary ship. Any opinions on the pro's/con's of the AF's? Thanks!

You're telling me you have 12 Perception after Clarity 3? A base perc of 4? That's BAD. Plus you don't have Learning 5 or implants. Get some implants, Clarity 4 and Learning 5, even then you are not in good shape for combat skills but ... man...

Your attributes are far better suited to an industrial charachter. You can train to be a fighter, but with perception 12 it's going to take a looong time. I would suggest training this char as a miner/producer and making a new one with better attributes for flying ships and firing guns. And specialise from the beggining. 5 mil SP is not that much.. if you use the money you make from your first char to buy implants and skills for your second one, you'll catch up in 3-4 months.. which is not that much in the world of EVE

Perception is at 15 after Clarity 3. I do have the full limited implant set as well. I t used to take 15 days for frig 5, now it's down to 10 days, idon't think it's so bad. Persoanlly, I don't really want to start over with a new alt. I've put so much hard work in this one already. Hmmmmmm.......

IF you dont want to start over then you REALY have to forget about being able to fly lots of different ships.
Perc is the main attribute for spaceship command. Flying one races ships extremely well is a lot better than being able to fly everything ( says the man who can fly all T1 non-capital ships and all T2 frigs )
Being able to fly all frigates is a little different as it means you can always find something to fly even out in lowsec ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Your Perc might be bad, but it's just not going to pay off to start over. You just REALLY need to get those advanced learnings to 4, or possibly 5 in your case. And don't forget Learning 5. But Clarity + Focus 4 is simply required. From there, if you get Focus and Clarity to L5 and then train only Perc/Will or Will/Perc, it will breakeven in 1.5 years. So that one is up to you. I did Focus 5 and my Clarity 5 finishes Monday, those are the only two Advanced learnings I will raise to 5. If you have the money (and don't do silly things like die) I would also recommend a +4 Perc implant and +3 Will implant.

You've got the ships, now you've got to do something with them. You shouldn't be playing Eve like other RPGs and try to get everything in the game. And is it the looks or attributes of the different ships that you can't make a decision on? My brain is not wired for the real. |

For a while I was unsure wtf I was doing, and I had a very low SP count, and couldn't do much, I since decided and now my SP's are going up quicker, and stuff is happening faster, and better, and I'm having more fun.
Choose something, stick with it, and train train train! I have low perc too, but not that bad Maybe get some implants?

Look you do not have to specialize your training, i haven't. But you have to ask yourself what your goal within eve is and then think about how your are going to achieve that goal. Adapt your traning in that way so you can easier achieve your goal.
But i can recommend Minmatar and projectile trainging. No reason i just like gun ships.

Don't even consider re-rolling this character, or going industrial with him - he's not had a good start but he's got a lot of skills in the bank.
I wouldn't be too concerned with the low perception - you have 22 will power, and most skills that use prec also use willpower. Fair enough it'll probably only be a secondary but thats worth half a point, and it's so high that it's bringing your average up.
If you can train clarity 5, learning 5, and get a +3 implant you'll be doing really well.
I wouldn't say you need to specialise though - why not get frig 5 / cruiser 5 for every race and fly any ceptor / af / hac you like? Concentrating on smaller ships and smaller guns can save you a lot of time - battle ships and large guns are a time sink when your learning.

I'm almost 5 months and have 4.5 million sp.
Get learning V, and all the advanced learning skills to at least 3, preferably 4.
Also, if you can, get some implants, +2's are not really that expensive.
