...well SNUFF will honour any ransom, however, generally blowing stuff up is far more fun and rewarding. Most who are willing to pay are worth killing to see what they drop.
Rather than shout 'PAY 20 MILL OR BOOM' in local I find you get better entertainment just saying 'LOL' in local as they sit there scrammed waiting to die.

Pink Panther Project if we ransom, will always honor it, pretty lame if ya dont. Gives a bad name but we dont ransom too much more profitable to kill and take loot.
If a pink Panther member evr dihonors a ransom please contact myself, and the offendeer will be dealt with.

We The Establishment will hold to our word, when and if we ask for ransom. Usually we ask for ransom if there is time for it, if not then we ar sorry and you will die. But if you have payed you can leave... we might even provide you with some intellegence for the rest of your trip.

most 'pirate' corps that are serious will not pod you upon the payment of a ransom. It's just bad business to pod a client, you get a bad name, if you get my drift . For many pirates ransoming is a primary source of income, so getting a bad name for yourself means no one will pay a ransom.
It's just people that like explosions and splats that will pod you, if they ask for a ransom then kill you, they are jsut n00bs. it WILL eventually bit them on the A$$, when no one pays the ransom and they loose all source of income.
I always liked RP irates myself, some of the stuff for ransom's is jsut brilliant! best one i remember in mah ebil pirate days was someone 'Actively collecting for the Orpans of Caldari war fund! plz! Think of the children!'

A member of our alliance recently ran into a Snigg gatecamp. His ship was destroyed (fair enough!). His pod was held, and ransomed. He PAID the ransom. They then podded him.
Sn-iggerdly are most definitely not an honourable corp, or at the very least have a number of very lame members.

Please tell me the names of all the pilots involved, and give me any relevant ship logs. I can assure you that we ARE and honorable pirate corp. Unfortunately I don't know what every single member is doing all the time, and every few months we tend ot get a bad seed in our midst, but I'll kick somebody out without hesitation if they did this.
However, I have a feeling that you are probably referring to somebody we tried to ransom on our ostingele gate camp from last weekend. I can't remember the name of the guy we killed, but I could probably find it if I searched our killboards a bit.
This twit decided that it would be funny to try to send us whatever we asked for minus 1 decimal point. I think we asked him for 15 million isk. Then he sent us 1.5 million isk. Then we said, that wasn't enough and that he still owed us 13.5 million isk. He then sent us 1.3 million isk... I think we gave him another 10 seconds to finish his payment and when he didn't, I told the ransoming member to send back the 2.8 million isk and podkill the guy. 1 Squish later and the problem was solved. I would be willing to bet that this is the guy who is accusing us of ransoming and then killing.
The moral of the story is, don't mess with pirates when they try to ransom you. We have more important things to do than to sit there and waste a scramble on your pod while other ships are getting away, if you don't pay quickly you will get killed.

Highwaymen might offer you the choice of, "your money or your life"!
Pirates destroy your ship, maroon the survivors on a desert island and bury the loot under a big X. |

It might be easier to do a thread about pirates who won't honor offered ransoms. I doubt there are many such around for the reasons already stated in this thread.

Great to hear that Shamis. For a second I thought S******dly became unhonorable. If that wasn't the case you just mentioned, I hope that guy gets kicked.

If BM-C offer you a ransom you can rest assured that it will either be honoured or the pilots will not hold BM-C tags for long.

Online games and the movies are full of new words, and new ways to put them together.
Only in the movies and in online games like eve, we find.
Honourable Pirates. Friendly Killers. Trustworthy thieves. loyal Spies.
But online players and particulary those in eve are alone to sit and wonder why people dont trust them, just because they are lying, murderers that is going to steal whatever they can from you.
Pirates are all the second words above, they are killers, Thieves and spies, they have one thing in common that makes them all pirates and that is just the fact you can not trust them. a person that honour the rasom agreement is a blackmailer, sucessfull one even, but a pirate i doubt that, that would be like naming the man that killed the clerk in a unsuccessfull robbery of the gas station, a soldier and should be protected by the international laws of warfare.
A pirate are and allways will be a wanted criminal, more often then not with a bounty on their head. nothing else and certainly not soldiers, or diplomats or even close to a person you could or should trust.

Spacerats wont kill you after they ransom you. They may not ransom you, but they will keep there word. If your nice they may not even try to ransom you if they ever see you again.
War them, and even with better numbers your dead in the water. There leader is one of the best combat organizers in the game.

KOS !!! honor ransoms
.....we always stop at hull..then wait for like 10-20 seconds..if dont get any reply we finish the job grab what we can and leave that place...ah and yes ..we often blow up pods too..
one day i even felt sorry for one dudde that lost battleship....when we atacked he simply loget off or somethin..probably tried to hang him self ((;.. later like in 20-30 mins we got first news from him(rope or hook didnt hold hees weight or something )...if i reapet any words he said i might get baned from the game....
still the irony...you loose a battleship to few frigs ....you train like for 2 years and then you loose it all in one moment ...all our ships and setup was cheaper than one hees gun lol
P.S. sorry for bad english ...that far not my first language
