Price
In economics and business, the price is the assigned numerical monetary value of a good, service or asset. The concept of price is central to microeconomics where it is one of the most important variables in resource allocation theory (also called price theory). Price is also central to marketing where it is one of the four variables in the marketing mix that business people use to develop a marketing plan.

because I doubt Stackless python has been ported over to cell processors just yet.
Not just price, but think about the complete redevelopment for the platform. Thats if Directx is supported on such a platform. ----- Memorable Quotes <Jarltan Dimtras> OH MY GOD MY GF IS A DUDE [img]http://static.flickr.com/38/74005274_0858e0e1fc_o.png[img] - Please keep your sig graphics EvE focused, Thanks -Iacon |

The server side doesn't require any knowledge whatsoever about DirectX or graphics at all. It could run on a drugged hamster if required.

Edited by: M3ta7h3ad on 18/01/2006 14:24:46 lol Sorry my mistake :D However my comments regarding stackless python still stand.
I doubt the server software will run on there. I also doubt that MS-SQL will run on it, and I exceedingly doubt that Windows will run on it at this moment in time. (Dont say it doesnt need to, because what do you think SQL server runs on? :)) that is assuming the OP means a general replacement of all the server cluster with this. Of course if someone codes a connection to an external database hosted on normal x86 machines fair enough, but I would have thought this kinda progress would need to be an all or nothing affair. The new ram disk proves that... it was a token hardware purchase, it may well be the fastest in the world, but its still not fast enough (I regularly get immense lag opening up the markets, and logging on [all of these things were said to be improved by this]). ----- Memorable Quotes <Jarltan Dimtras> OH MY GOD MY GF IS A DUDE |
