In all honesty, CCP should probably reimburse every character who ever lost isk due to a market fluctuation that came about from new/altered items. Fair is fair.

The price went up because of the addition of other storyline missions which diluted the supply. You paid 2.1b for something you thought was worth 2.1b and you still have the thing, you lost nothing. You are bad at eve and bad at thinking.

Just because the markets change doesn't mean that you got an unfair deal. I presume that if you want a reimbursement period, it'll be two-way: if you buy something, and then, a week later, it becomes more expensive, the additional ISK is drawn from your wallet to cover this new, higher price?

Why should they reimburse a deal that was entirely fair and which you felt was worth-while? If it was worth it, it was worth it, and you've lost nothing. If you were trying to speculate, then that risk is part of the business and you lost your gamble so there should definitely not be any reimbursement.

No, it's a logical consequence of your suggestion. You are asking to have your purchases adjusted after the fact if something happens to the market that alters their value for a period of time after the trade has been done.

If the price goes down, you get reimbursed the additional ISK you had to pay.
If the price goes you, you reimburse CCP the additional ISK you didn't pay.

Good thing that they don't, then.
Well, maybe the occasional market speculator, but that's the nature of speculation so it is as it should be.

This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, that CCP devalues any particular item. It's been very expensive for a long time, and now it isn't. I'll bet the warfare mindlinks that I paid a premium for before the last expansion have lost value with the introduction of navy mindlinks, but I don't expect CCP to reimburse me. I also never got a reimbursement for skills I trained that are no longer requirements for other skills, and judging by the Character Bazaar, skillpoints can be worth a lot of isk.

I think you expected more support from the playerbase with your OP. I suggest that you adjust your expectations.

I am not sure if you were aware of the Features and Ideas Section of the forums.

If you were then you would have seen the Dev thread on Mindlinks posted over two months before the patch. In that thread they stated the intended changes to Mindlinks and it was discussed for 60 or 70 pages (Don't remember exactly). Anyone that had a Mining Mindlink immediately after reading the thread put it on the market and laughed all they way to the bank as people bought them up at, never to be seen again, prices.

Your thread is misguided, misdirected... well your anger is at the wrong person. You were scammed, by someone that read the Dev Thread and used his knowledge to make a profit off of others that don't read.
