Where is all the zydrine going? It's apparently gotten hard enough to find in Empire that prices have gone from 3500-3700 to approaching 4800 in central regions, in the course of 2 or 3 weeks. I went on a 9-region shopping trip recently and found some for 4000, and snapped it up like a bargain...not long ago I would have thought that was a bad price.
Are the new capital ships using up so much of it that supplies are petering out before they are shipped into hi sec?
Also, an old guide I had apparently doesn't list all the ores that yeild zydrine, someone told me it was out of date. Can anyone list all the ore types that produce it?

If you have MS Excel then the refining spreadsheet linked here will be very handy.

Some of it is in capital ship production. I'm happy since my complex runs and mining runs are more profitable than ever. The downside is ship construction costs have gone up in some cases (although the BS market seems fixed... maybe too much supply) ---- EVE-Central.com Coss-Region Market Browser | Obsidian Technologies, Part of the Obsidian Union Alliance

Edited by: Saicon on 19/01/2006 10:48:22 I heard T2 ammo is eating up all the zydrine.
It cost me 4mil more than I expected to build my dominix -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Among those are the fact that with a new patch, people who maybe would have been mining are trying out new features and/or ships.
There was also mention that there may be a war going and players that normally would be mining in 0.0 are tied up in it.
Add in the new t2 items which use Zydrine and it amounts to a bit of a shortage.
You could put in a buy order at around 4000 and it will get filled. Might take a little bit of time, buit it will get filled. Most mission runners who refine their loot want the isk quick and are willing to sell it under market value.
Give it some time and it should come back down to pre-RMR
Also, I do believe that recently a small amount of Zydrine was added to jaspet.

That was in the Cold War patch, trace amounts of Zydrine were added to Jaspet, Omber, Hemorphite and Hedbergite (not sure about the last two) ... Jaspet and Omber were also moved to 0.4 and below, because of those "trace amounts".

Zyd wasn't added to omber. Just jaspet Hed and Hemo.

It may indeed have to do with capiral ships.
Zyd is mainly mined by people living in deep 0.0 People living in deep 0.0 are mostly in alliances. Alliances are working hard to produce the first capital ship fleets atm.
But it probably doesn't explain all of it.

npc'ing is "apparently" more profitable than mining. Which is great for me, since i love mining rare ores
