Hi
Small corporation recently moved into a C3 wh. We are getting 1 anom every few days, perhaps 1-2 a week is this normal?
We utilise our null sec static for isk so not to bothered just wondering if we live in a 'dry' hole.
I have researched into this and no definitive answer can be found as to what can be expected, some people say it's to do with the volume of anoms within the constellation others say it's slow respawn to prevent farming.
I'd just like to know if 1-2 a week is normal. Thanks |

There is no normal. It is pretty random. But yes having dry spells is expected. I've gone weeks with nothing in our home WH only to log in one day and have 15.
The main rule is not to expect to make your isk from your home WH. The isk comes from the static you farm (which in the case of a C3/0.0 would be 0.0 space) |

Hi Derath & thanks for your quick reply.
The dreams of living dangerously and getting rich in wh space faded when it looked like our dry hole was a bum choice. Corpies going into neighbouring wh's "omg they have 25 anoms!! we should move....."
I tell them, once we clear those 25 anoms it will be as dry as our current hole. Your reply has added to my peace of mind that statics are where the isk is.
Many thanks! |

You're doing it wrong......maaann!
You don't live in the class of wh that you want to farm. You live in a system that statics to the class you want to farm. You **** your static like a virgin in heat, roll it, rinse and repeat.

If you settle in a hole for the long term you can make a fair amount over a longer period of time from your home system, a shorter time period snapshot however can be very erratic.
As people have said many times above if your there to get rich quick its about finding the holes with lots of sites and running them dry which usually means farming your static or setting up a temp base in a well populated WH. |

I know this is still theory not proven but from my experience the wh is part of a region and their are a given number of each type of sigs and anomalies in each region if there are a lot of empty wh in your region with no one running them they will start to fill up those holes so go out and run the build up in the static you get or other wh that connect to you to randomize where they land the more active the region is as a whole the more spawns you will get. |

This actually only applies to farming c1-c4s. Pls note that for farming a c3, you should live in a c4 with a c3 static. If you want to get ganked 24/7, then go c2 with HS/c4.

For each constellation or region, there is a fixed set of signatures and anoms. Running one of them will have it respawn in a random system in that constellation or region. Triggering all sites you're finding in other systems of your wormhole region doesn't yield any noticable results though. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3633385&#post3633385 - 15% more tank since the 1.1-patch. |

Challenge accepted! I am getting sick and tired of 4 wh exits opening up and seeing all the sites just sitting there. I don't always have the numbers to roll in and relieve them of their unwanted sites so it stands to reason that at least I'll be giving this a try.
I'll let you know the results in a few weeks. I know its random but its better then a kick in the head.

remember if you just activate them the ore and gas sites start a timer but I believe the combat sites need to be cleared to respawn. The timer is 3 to 5 days. A few ventures can clear a gas site before the sleepers spawn and are hard for the locals to kill so that should be at least something easy to randomize those more quickly. Also remember that it does not matter what class so if you find a full c1 you can burn them down with a af that is very little isk that you are risking to get those cleared up. Use a t1 destroyer for your out of home salvager again to reduce the value of what you are risking. |

Its constellation, not region. And you have to warp to the sites to trigger them. Triggering combat sites will make them despawn after 4 days and respawn in other system in same constellation. If its a quiet constellation you need scanner alts in several of the constellation systems to make more sites spawn in your home system. Good luck scanning :P |

It's not really the class of your home wormhole that matters for your income. It's the class of your static - the wormhole to other wormhole space that appears regularly in your system.
For example, if you have a C4 static, you will always have a wormhole doorway into a C4 system - always. Once that wormhole times out, or has too much ship mass pass through it, it collapses and you get a new wormhole immediately leading to a new C4. You can make tons of money by farming these new connections.
You can even speed up the process by having armor-tanked battleships or Orcas or other heavy mass ships handy. Whenever you get a C4 connection you don't like - maybe it's already farmed out or maybe it has a really nasty wormhole corp living in it - you can repeatedly jump high-mass ships back and forward through it to force it into mass-crit status, and force it to collapse - giving you a new (hopefully better) C4 connection.
That's where you make your real money. The class you live in is really just bonus income. Stuff to do solo or in small groups when you don't have enough people for a major PvE operation. |

This.
IMO C3's should only ever be solo ventures. When i lived solo in a C3 the sites were not even enough for me. |

I'm not sure if this is the case...... But in my experience... If you only run anoms... And no sig sites then the anoms drop off. And vise versa.
I've had situations where I've only run the signature sites for weeks ( back when my wh toon was a scrub and living in a c2 and I was only mining and hacking etc etc. the anoms scared me lol) and I didn't receive a single sig for over 2 weeks (except new wh's)
And recently the opposite happened. Now in my c3 I over farmed the anoms and received barley any for a week or two.
My advice, farm them all evenly. Yes that means the boring gas sites too :P
Also I've heard that leaving a minimum of 5 anoms helps them spawn faster. (That's what I do these days it 'seems' better)

The only thing that leaving a min of 5 anoms does is encourage someone to enter your system and farm them instead of you. The anoms and sigs cycle between the systems in a constellation and how active that constellation is determines how often you get them in your home system. <Munnkeh> i'm gonna use that excuse if i ever kill someone.
