While I can appreciate the effort here, change the World of Warcraft to WoW and the results are very different.. :-(

Theoretically 50 times smaller. In practice 10 times smaller. 120 servers * 2500 per server = 300000 max load.

Agreed, that obviously is a problem.
The correct search pattern is to have both World of Warcraft and EVE Online in quotes(meaning the whole string has to be there, not just all 2/3 words on the same page), which results in this. 2mil for EVE, 20mil for WoW, which is much more in line with what I would expect.

yeah, I guess thats one way of looking at it...
We could also argue that eve won because the wow players are actually having too much fun playing wow to be bothered to vote for something like this where as Eve has so much boring dead time ( autopilot for an hour for the lose ) that people need anything to do to relieve the boredom of the game and voting sites like this help with that.
So, are these rewards truely because of eves excellence, or simply because the game bores its players so much that they are desperate enough for any small distraction to go vote repeatedly on sites like that?
