[1] regarding the weapon disruption idea. I think the better solution would be to integrate specific targetting on a ship. Allow the player to target weapons, propulsion, shields, etc. I realize combat is so intense and short that most the time this would not be used. However I've encountered a few fights, the longest lasting over 15 mins (hawk (me) vs. myrm) And specific targetting would have been crucial in that fight. ECM missiles would be awesome, you'd likely have to have a special launcher with a very high refire rate. That would also open up the field for more frequent use of defender missiles. (priceless if you know how and when to use them) Maybe have an ECCM defender missile or something of the sort. |
