So, I'm making ammo for myself and I'm building up stockpiles of minerals quicker than I'm using the ammo, so I figure I should make extra ammo and sell it.
Now, I thought I might as well research the blueprints and make them a bit more profitable.
My question is, when should I stop researching it
ME100? ME250 ME500?
Is there a level where most people stop? is it worth researching passed a certain ME?
What does researching ME actually do?
When I install a blueprint, it tells me it will cost me X amount of trit "raw material" and also X amount of trit "waste material"
Does researching ME reduce the waste material only? so once that is at 0 there is no point in researching any further??
Help!

ME Waste = 10% of perfect material cost / (ME+1)
Final Waste = ME Waste * (1+(5 - Production Effiency Skill level) * 0.04) -- Proud member of the [23].

To elaborate more...
An unresearched blueprint takes 110% the "real" amount to make. Research the ML to 1, and it only takes 105%. Go to 4, and it only takes 102%. 9 makes it 101%, 19 makes it 100.5%, 39 makes it 100.25%, 79 is 100.125%, so on and so forth. As you can see, the returns diminish rapidly.
See all that stuff above 100%? That's the waste material you see. So of course it only reduces waste material. You get no waste when the waste amount (10% at ML 0, for instance) times the raw material cost (100 trit, for example) rounds down to zero.

Actual Mineral Needed = (1.25 - .05 * Production Efficiency Skill Level) * (1 + .1 / (Blue Print Material Level + 1)) * Base Mineral Value
So its best if you learn the Production Efficiency Skill first to level 5 then you can figure where to stop with the material level of a bp. (That was learned the hard way researching a bp to 350 ml and getting nowhere near the perfect score.)

Generally you don't have to go above ME30. If you want, you can, since it doesn't take long to do ammo. But the difference between 30 and 100 is almost negligible.
