Greetings my fellow capsuleers and others with access to the IGS.
It is with some pride that I wish to announce that starting on October 1st, the Direct Support Initiative, or DIRSI in short, will be operational. The corporation will be aligned towards CONCORD and has the following long term missions:
- To assist capsuleers who have recently graduated into finding their way within our Universe. Much has changed since the day that I graduated and council and assistance is always needed for those who have only just recently joined us.
- To provide assistance in intergalactic events. This can go from humanitarian aid in case of disasters, accidents or conflict to more military based roles
- To fight the current Sansha Incursions and find a way to prevent them from happening
- To remain neutral within Intergalactic politics and prevent one faction of gaining a advantage large enough to be able to conquer the other factions.
- To become an recognized and accepted capsuleer run organization that supports CONCORD
The more short term goals are:
- Doubling the current corporate funds from 250 million ISK to 500 million ISK before the end of the current year
- To get a stock of aid supplies before the end of the current year, consisting of:
- 50,000 units of Construction Blocks - 50,000 units of Electronic Parts - 50,000 units of Hydrogen Batteries - 50,000 units of Manufacturing Tools - 50,000 units of Soil - 50,000 units of Antibiotics - 50,000 units of Dairy Product - 50,000 units of Frozen Food - 50,000 units of Frozen Plant Seeds - 50,000 units of Wheat
- Have an active roster of at least 10 capsuleers before the end of the current year
Should there be any questions or comments, feel free to either leave them here or contact me in person.

Thank you in advance for your support. I'm certain that they will be most appreciated once they are given to those in need of them. |

I agree that there is a serious lack in humanitarian support that is present, especially from us capsuleers. Hence the focus on support for those in need.
The affiliation with CONCORD seems like a valid choice as there is also a military side of support that can be offered. This strikes me as something that the Sisters of Eve are unlikely to be approve.

Mister Tuulinen,
as stated in the long term missions, DIRSI will remain neutral in intergalactic politics. Should we deploy humanitarian aid, it will be for those who are in need of it. Being Caldari, Gallente, Amarr or Minmatar will make no difference nor will any war zone be. But if you must insist on taking a more aggressive stance, any and all humanitarian aid into the war zones will be announced ahead of time and a full scan and check of materials will be allowed and provide for all worried parties before it is being delivered.
It saddens me to see the aggressive nature once again prevail over the humanitarian side. |

Mister Tuulinen,
If you would like to have a more clear view on DIRSI stand, I'll send you the additional information, including example situations and the actions that will and will not be taken.
Miss Polevhia,
DIRSI is not a Anti-Nation organization. DIRSI does oppose the current Sansha Incursions as it is considered an attempt to conquer the other factions while having a major technological advantage. |

Thank you for putting it that clearly miss Polevhia.
DIRSI has no desire or wish to pursue any faction within its own territory. That would beat the entire point of wishing to remain neutral within intergalactic politics. I am aware of the difficulty of the missions of DIRSI, but that does not make them any less worthwhile to pursue and strive for.
As for the Militia's that have been fighting each other, those are part of intergalactic politics. As long as they are 'balanced' regarding the level and type of technology that all sides have at their disposal, no action will be taken by DIRSI. DIRSI opposes the fact that this suffering and unneeded bloodshed and violence continues. However it would seem that this was the only option at the time to prevent all open war between the Empires. DIRSI would see it end rather today then tomorrow but knows it will not be able to make this happen on its own. Instead it will pursue humanitarian aid for those caught in the conflict.
Regarding the argument raised regarding history, just looking at the past will always give one group a reason to actively seek out retribution for some grievance from the past and thus create a new grievance for another group. |

Thank you for your input mister Sorjat. The points you bring up are beyond the current intent or missive of DIRSI, but I'll reply to them.
As for the Angel Project, I shall look into it. The workload is a bit high at this time but once I have the time I shall certainly see what options for pooling resources are available.
I find it hard to believe that all capsuleers would turn on the navies and Empires. There will always be those who will support and protect them. Should this come to pass (and I will be terrified if it does) DIRSI stance will be to care for the non-millitary people and support and protect them to the fullest of its abilities. I am aware that this is not the answer you might be looking for. Should you wish to know if DIRSI supports of opposes those capsuleers, DIRSI would oppose them.
DIRSI will not take a stance regarding the ownership and/or deployment of capital class warships within Empire space. Current technologies already prevent parts of empire space from their deployment. This brings me to your second point. CONCORD has no real ownership. The Empires wants or allows (depending on your views) CONCORD to operate within parts of their space. Should the Empires wish to expand the operational area of CONCORD within their space, it comes down the the reasoning. If it is to provide more protection for the people living within their borders and to allow their life standard to rise, DIRSI would applaud and support it. If it would be to be able to expand their territory at the expense of the territory of others DIRSI would resent it. However these are clearly intergalactic politics and DIRSI does not wish to participate in this.
DIRSI considers the parts of space that have been claimed by capsuleers to be way out of it's operational area and scope. |

I plan to have a first aid package ready within the next couple of days mister Striker.
And rest assured I will do my outmost to maintain the stated neutrality. Just because it's hard doesn't mean it's not a worthy cause. Several projects are comming along nicely so I expect to make several broadcasts on the progress soon.

Thank you for your support mister Kan,
Currently we prefer to receive goods over money. It is preferred to receive the goods in our HQ in Yulai, however any high-security system with high-security acces will do. You can also create a contract to me.

I am aware that the decision for CONCORD instead of the Sisters of Eve seems strange. However DIRSI is not a solely humanitarian organisation. DIRSI will also keep an eye out for any major developments within the Empires. Some recent examples are the hunt for capturing Tibus Heth and the Incursion of Republic Fleet ships into the Gallente Federation to take the shooter of Karin Midular into Minmatar Custody.
The participation in such events and the stated neutral political stance means that CONCORD was a more suitable organisation. However I don't believe that CONCORD and the Sisters of Eve are mutually exclusive.
