Hey there
IŠv never in my life looked in the direction of a laptop so i know jack about em.
What features are important to keep in mind? Any manufaktour way better then all the rest?
IŠll be using it for surfing and chatting when iŠm home, and do everything else on my real comp. And iŠll use it to watch movies, play music and mabey some games during the week in my truck. I am a truckdriver and the plan is to fill it up whit new movies/ series at home during the weekend and then watch em at night during the week.
Oh btw, atm i play alot of Age of empires 3, is that even doabel on a non vber laptop?

Wait for a year or so when laptops have upgradable graphic cards as a feature. Right now, they are merely industrial waste after 1 year of use, unless you are using it mainly for work, of course.

Pentium-M Dothan is a no-brainer. 1GB of RAM and a 6800 Go should be about good.

I've always been a big fan of ACER laptops, I've had a few and they have always done me well.
One of the tings about laptops is never buy one thinking you are going to use it to play games and stuff like that. they are bets suited to doing work and browsing on the go.
I got a Acer tablet PC laptop about 6 months ago and I could not live with out it.

Maybe think about an apple laptop? As long as you're not playing, you won't need windows for much, right? And they do look sexy (this is mroe of a question. I'm thinking of getting one myself, are they any good or should I stick with windows based comps?)

If it aint possibel to play games with acceptebel settings iŠll use Open source OS , only reason i have XP on my main comp is for gaming.
What about used ones? Do they suffer as mush from "wear and tear" as i suppect, or do ppl generally take good care of them? Keep in mind that the main function for it will be to play movies and series.
