I myself am a pirate and have seen some pretty bad smacktalk coming from A LOT of pirates. Some pirates I gang with just say the most absurd things like when 1 month people run from our 10 man gank fleet they call them pussies and all manner of insults in gang chat. Sure its not directly to them but nonetheless, if you are 1 month old and are running from a 10 man gank fleet your not a ***** your smart. However people need to regulate the difference between smack and jokes. Some dude killed me in a system a few days back, and I type in local:
"ZOMG U R TEH H4XX0R! PH34R MY POD!"
and he starts accusing me of smacktalking. Some people are just retarded.

When not to post a link to your killboard, and claim that last month's stats prove you're not noobs:
1) When a lot of your kills are noobships. 2) When a lot of your kills are haulers. 3) When the rest of your kills are pods. 4) When the last month's stats include a mass suicide by the lemming squad. 5) When you only fly battleships and choose the above as targets.

Regarding the comments of people having no honor or whatever it was, for not fighting "fair":
Never, ever, fight on your enemy's terms. It will only get you killed.
These people are not out to just murder people (though it is a secondary thing to what they do), they're out to make money. That "nub" might be an alt moving shiny things for his main. Those battleships drop really nice mods sometimes.

Yeah, just avoid old man star system. It cuts off a couple of good trade routes, but as near as I can tell, their main tactic is to snipe and gate camp. I lost a new cruiser to them but that was my fault. I figure eventually one of the anti-rat corps will go down there and clean house.
I suppose I should give them some credit, they did kill my first cruiser.

I'm a carebear miner. Today I warped to the Villore gate in Old man Star system in Essence and was shot at by 5 BS's from 'Black Ops' Corp (-10 guys). During the 60 seconds it took me to crawl to the gate under fire in a indy (had 5 local hulls on) I somehow survived.
Now, they failed to kill me, but smacked in local when i came back in a shuttle to get a blueprint.
I just find it incredible how 5 battleships flown by five -10 (50mil+ bounty guys) could a) fail to kill a indy crawling 15km to a gate then b) have the audacity to smack talk ME in local.
Remember im a MINER. I have no use for guns.
So this is an open invitation for any pvp corp that is tired of noobs in bs's running around low sec empire thinking they are tough. Theres about 400mil in bounties on them, if you have time, they live around that area.
Ill kill who ever ya want for a price :)

OMS is close to Oursalaert, and I bet it gets a lot of noob traffic. I know was a week in when I started getting hauling missions to that place. Boy, that would have been a good day's work! They might have gotten 7 Hydrogen Batteries and an afterburner off me!
Fortunately these 'pirates' are too dumb to keep their mouths shut in this forum about their activities and location, so I knew better than to try my luck.

Heh I was in OMS yesterday too, funny system, there were 12 (!) pirates waiting for their victims. 3 were on Villore gate, another two at station I was docking to and I believe others were at Ladistier gate too, cos there was a corpse when I was leaving.
You really shouldnt go to OMS with indy or barge. Its known dangerous system, which is camped very often. But GJ surviving that, either you were lucky or they are really poor pirates.

Look at Old Man Star on the map, it's a 0.3 system that pretty much dead-ends off of high sec. It's multiple high-sec jumps to any other low sec.
Look again, you can go to Ladistier, than down to Aeschee, Lisbaetanne, Adirain, Onne, Hulmate etc.

lol, 1195kills on a month with more than 1 corp on that killboard and sniping low-sec pirates is not that hard. I could make that on my own in a month sniping in vecamia.

And where would this kill board of yours be located? Don't have it? Ooooh, shame on you! First go get the kills, then reply. Remember: at least 1196 kills in 1 months time without sniping (we weren't sniping you see).
Do you have the guts? Try, and then come back replying to this.... --- I'm not as bad-ass as some of my corp mates, but I'll pwn you anyway!

Made the mistake of going to Lisbaetanne to buy skillbooks in my Cara a few weeks ago, and long story short I've got killrights on Amandy. I want her corpse, send me an evemail if you wish to talk details. I make no profession to want to do PvP, but those that do let me know. I'm not going to call names or point fingers, as enough has been said about them...

Hi,
I'd like to add some, & make a suggestion.
I'm in CAS, the Gallente rookie corps, & can confirm a lot of our new members get podded, & continue to get podded, in OMS. They've tried & failed to clobber me in my Thorax twice now, & avoiding the place is sometimes painful if you've the wrong agent who gives you Storyline missions etc there.
Since a lot of the podded players are only days old, low on funds, & not resigned &/or excited by the brutality of Eve's pvp, many of them are none too happy.
I've been considering getting a mob together to go & give the OMS pirates a good kicking, but have learnt that to actually pod them in revenge costs a hefty security standing hit. That might be painful for a new player planning a lawful career, but somehow just destroying their ships would feel insufficient - after all, they'd just get another.
I've had a second hand conversation with one of the campers, whilst I was orbitting Villore-OMS stargate (on the Villore side!) spamming a warning (largely ignored) not to go to OMS, funnily enough :)
It seems the campers (of two corps I think) have a POS (or two?) in OMS. Such was their only reasonable argument for podding noobs.
I imagine destroying their POS, or even just finding its location, would put a bigger damper on the pirates' day than anything else that might be done.
Would any of the people who've offered to cause havoc in OMS be capable of doing this, & willing to?
Eyam.
Too new to have any other sig.
