Originally by: Rodj Blake My advice to the Gallente Federation is:
Close your borders to these work-shy layabouts now. Do not let any more into your borders. Do you want them ruining your state as well with their barbaric tribal traditions?
Next thing you will be advising us to enslave them...
The Federation should welcome all those who wish to be citizens.

Originally by: Rodj Blake But please bear in mind that the latest bunch of immigrants will almost certainly be unable to contribute to your society.
Why? Have they no hands and feet? No brains? Everybody can contribute, if they are given the training and the opportunity. After that it will be up to them.
Originally by: Rodj Blake What would the consequences be if, say, 50% of the current population of the Republic decided to up sticks, move to the Federation, recieve citizenship and then demanded state support? Could your people cope?
Unlikely that 50% will up and decide to move. And if they did, we would find a way. But make no mistake, the Federation is not a charitable organization. There are opportunities for those who have the will to pursue them, there will be humanitarian aid and there will be some help, but in the end, it will be up to them to be productive citizens.

Originally by: Karl Mattar Perhaps if the Minmatar had bothered to learn this in their time of employment within the Amarr Empire, they might not be coming to such a tragic end now.
No further comment necessary...

Originally by: Rodj Blake Even the most organised of "free" societies can only cope with so many productive drug-pedlars, prostitutes and mobsters.
Not everybody is so weak willed as to need the spectre of a silly god or governmental brain washing in order to not turn to crime.

I find myself in agreement with Pulgor (this time ).
I think the situation will come to a natural balance soon and that the whole media frenzy over this is more of an indication of nothing else of great interest happening, rather then the actual facts being all that dramatic.

Originally by: Edward Sarum Second we do not post here to gloat but to warn the Gallante to watch their backs in this matter, their society will be milked dry if they do not stop the drain now.
Oh it is so nice to know that the Amarr have the Federation's best interests at heart. Too bad you think that our best interests include being enslaved by you.
So... uhmm, yeah, I'd have to say... thanks but no thanks
