Is there a way to fix your standings with a pirate corp other than grinding level 1 missions for story lines?
The current epic arc/Cosmos missions require a higher faction standing than the lvl 4 agents, but either way it takes a very boring long grind to "fix" them.
The "guides" kinda help but again they recommend the arcs and cosmos missions that are harder to access than lvl4 agents themselves.
Would be nice if you could get a "positve" gain, to the faction you are missioning with, for ships kills of factions that give you negative hits to their standings.
Any suggestions?
Also, anoyone know if CCP will ever introduce epic arcs for the other pirate factions?

Actually if you want to fix your standing with Guristas / Angel it is pretty easy. Pirate epic arcs can be started from empire agents (Repair plan). These give you a huge boost (+30% base standing) when you complete them but you should train your social skills first to maximise that.
For Sansha, you can begin the Amarr Epic arc and switch to Sansha at some point (beginning of Chapter 3 iirc). This gives you +10% base standing at the end but you have to shoot Sansha's ships in the first 2 parts so it gives something like +7%.
For minor pirate factions you are pretty screwed and either farm 500 L1 or play with derived standings and farm higher level missions for allied pirates. There is Guristas, Blood Raiders, Sansha side and the Angel / Serpentis one.
Standing mechanics need some work CCP. |

If you want to start an Epic Arc in Empire you don't need higher standings than for a level 4 mission. At least for the Caldari Faction. I just finished the Caldari Epic Arc and i only needed 5.0 standings with Expert Distribution.
If this is the Epic Arc you want to do it, just run missions for that corp. And by the way, train to lvl 3 Auto Targeting Missiles if you plan to do alone the last mission. |

If you're interested in Angels or Guristas then, as previous responder mentions, the pirate epic arcs may be just the thing ... access via standings with four hisec NPC corps as well as the respective pirate corp. Lots further info, and a wonderful commercial support package, in the forum posting linked below in my .sig I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. Our pirate epic arc completion packages really are very good: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread |

The pirate epic arc agents are level 3 agents and require a 3.0 standing to use. This standing can be with 3 different factions or corps. They will fix your standing back to the point where the diplomacy skill can get you below -2 and the agents are no longer locked out.
