Throwing this warning out there so this doesn't happen too anybody else.
My brother recently quit eve so i asked what he was doing with his assets to which he replies nothing man you can have them.
So we both renew his accounts through my paypal on my PC at home and update his email too suite mine for the paypal renewal and all is awesome and we transfer his assets across too me (free of course).
Then 2 days later my main account that recieved the ships/items and small amounts of isk is suddenly banned and my brother too (not like he cared anyway as he left lol). I tried too petition this but after 4 days with no replies via ingame petitions/eve site petitions and even to the extent of email petitions i have given up trying to get my account reactivated.
I also browsed through the EULA and it doesn't state anywhere your not allowed too recieve items/ships/isk for free...... if it was for a price on the other hand as in cash that WOULD be illegal and considered a breach of the EULA.
So for all you guys out there trading stuff between friends or alt accounts just be super careful...... and its time for me to find another interesting game to invest time and money into.

Sounds to me your troubles started when you effectively made his account yours. This bit:

Accounts can only be used in the name they were originally created by, characters can be transfered by via the bazaar and goods transfered between accounts, but the account has to stay with the original owner I think you'll find.
I guess you petitioned it, so expect a thread lock. |

Ah so that might be it then? i thought you had to have the same email as the one in paypal other wise you couldnt renew subscriptions otherwise.....

How would you solve such a situation if you were CCP? From their point of view is looks exactly like a hack or an RMT transaction, both of which result in closed accounts until investigation is concluded.
If it is really urgent that you get back to your lvl4 missions, then I'd suggest getting your brother to contact CCP from an address that they know and confirm your story .. else you get to wait in county lockup with all the other felons. |
