Please don't think that I am one of those people who makes the stupid names with numbers and special chars.
I use Benco97 because I was assigned it in school and it has stuck ever since. EVERYTHING I do online I do as Benco97, Except messenger
got a rather strange name on that 
ok, I'll tell : 'The fox with purple hair'

I used to be no_one_really because i was fed up of people asking "who are you in the real world then?" in beta... then that changed to annoing because I found that people asking why 'no_one_really' really annoying.

I was going to name myself after the arcade game "Arkanoid". Turns out I've been misreading the font all my life and thought it was called "Arkanon". A very good way to impress people on your first day of work.

My original char is Lyph.
I didn't even created it in Eve, but it was a healer, and is a mixup of the name Lif (in Nordic mythology the survivor of Ragnarock, the battle of heroes), the word Why, and Life.
The Y is a letter that you find in every of my char name (I like having alt chars for everything).
I transport the same set of names from game to game, so people I know usualy end up knowing all my names.
Endyl is usualy my PK char in all games, but it ended that in Eve having too many alts is not really possible.

Been using this handle since the days of The Bard's Tale by Westwood Studios. The other characters were Charlie Dung. Edith Foxtrot. (anyone see the pattern here?)

Danton 'cause I wanted something classically french yet not fruity and not having been ingame to actually see the very imaginative names of others to further inspire me I must say I'm not in the most creative league, not even in the qualifying group. 
Marcellus 'cause it was my alias in another spacegame and quite frankly only a poor frustrated sollution when I realized that the - was out, subpar by the CCP.  Oh and yes, I like Ving Rhames...
If we were given the oppertunity to change our names some day I probably will, someone report me!

Names are coolest when:
1. Full name (two part) with the first part easily pronouncable. ie: "Riana Tabost" not "zxucw ffpftdy"
2. Single handle name "Khyron"
My character was chosen for the former.

This name was gifted to me by Prometheus after a particularly successful urban engagement against the Human//bug forces (100 Humans fell to my Executioner). Shortly after this, i began to exhibit bug thought and was classed as a "Metagen", and was scheduled for redaction. I escaped, and even though i am now openly against Prometheus, i still bare the name with pride.
Through an accident while travelling in the only Metagen FTL ship, i found myself sitting in an Ibis, with a Human//bug body and no knowledge of where i was. I have been trying to reach my comrades ever since..

My name is Jaroslaw(Iaroslav). It is old slavish name (I'm from Poland). What it exactly means: 'The one who praises the lord'. However everybody calls me Iaras for short.
