Hi, I'm looking for a GOOD english to latin trabslator, something where I can type in an english word or phrase and get the full lating word or phrase.
I've tried google and stuff, but nothing good so far, all stuff that dosent work or only does latin-english, any web addresses are appreciated....

Well thanks for trying guys, but the first is pig latin, not true latin which is what im after(its for a witch hunting guild for another game, latin is sort of required:P) and the second link dosent have latin that I can see......
Can anyuone else help? please? I was hoping to get this stuff translated tonight.

Well thanks for the quotes, gave me a laugh and theres a few I might use too
That dictionary is the same as all the others I found though, Latin to english, I wanted english to latin 
Thanks for offering to translate text but Ive not even decided what I'm writing yet I was hoping to play around with words as I went.
Anyone else got a link to an english to latin dictionary or translator?

But honestly... witch hunters didn't exactly use "good" Latin, anyway...
so just cobble something together, no one will notice... *lol*

I know they didnt in RL but they usually do in RPGs. Its mainly for my guilds name and motto, I wanted to use a tried and tested formula(latin) but come up with something origional, as opposed to "Carpe deum" or whatever the heck it is.
Problem is I cant even cobble something together without help as I've never even seen a word of latin written in front of me before.
Help me puweeeeeese

No computerised translator is ever going to achieve what you want of it: literal translations are nearly always bad translations. Sorry, but you're going to have to do some work on this one
The Vauxhall Nova - originally launched in Spain where "no va" means doesn't go.
"Come alive with the Pepsi family" - which got translated in Taiwan as "Pepsi brings your relatives back from the dead."
"The invisible moron" - Russian translation of the proverb "out of sight, out of mind."
The Ford Capri was so called because it's original planned name turned out to mean bull**** in Italian.

What you need to do is either:
a) actually learn a bit of latin, possibly overkill :-)
b) forget about latin translators and dictionaries and find latin texts that are similar to what you want to do
For example, using something from Latin mass:
"May almighty God have mercy on thee and having forgiven thee thy sins, bring thee to life everlasting."
is
"Misereatur tui omnipotens Deus, et dimissis peccatis tuis, perducat te ad vitam aeternam."
so just convert that to
"Misereatur tui omnipotens Imperator Heideranus Magnus, et dimissis peccatis tuis, perducat te ad vitam aeternam."
meaning
"May almighty Emperor Heideran the Great have mercy on thee and having forgiven thee thy sins, bring thee to life everlasting."
Dig around the internet or, gosh, real books and you'll find plenty of latin snippets (trials, religious texts, words from songs - very good those - and so on) you can grab and cobble together into almost anything. And because it's close to being real it seems more 'authentic'.

Just find an italian guy who did a good classic high school... he can help you for sure.
I can translate from latin to english, but from english to latin... well it is a whole different story (i didn't choose the classic school ).

You might find a translator for words and short phrases but you won't find an accurate translate as you type program.
Indifferent languages, especially Latin, different words and phrases have different meanings when used in different contexts. You can translate the words but you may or may not translate what the sentence actually says.
My wifes company learned this the hard way. They used some free translator to translate some informaiton about their company from English to Spanish.
They means to say:
The company is owned by the employees. It translated to something like the eployees are crazy.
They wanted to say tehir employees are higly motivated and it ended up reading like the employees are hot for the company. (as in oh baby your hot).
Several other points just came accross as gibberish.
So when your translating you not only have to translate the words you have to translate the measning of a word in the proper context then possibly replace words as needed to get your message accross. Thats just not something a computer can do very well.

My apologies. I didn't check to see if it in fact had "Latin" as an option.
In fact, here is how my thought pattern worked: "Latin" = "Latin Women" = "Central America + Spain" = English to Spanish translation needed.
/em slaps forehead...
Didn't even dawn on me you meant "Latin"
