a good thought, but i prefer the old messages via pop up over a message thats always on the screen. well all know the time when eve is gonna go down, dont need the message.

dosn't suck, its very helpful and its been like this for years, so just because you dont like something, dosn't mean it has to go

Actually there are a lot of modal dialogs with messages on in Eve that popup at inappropriate moments; mostly they annoy or get in the way of whatever you are presently doing. I think they should all be shown as a message in local or something - ie. a system message with a defined colour/font.
