Aye, thought so.
Originally by: Kruel I'd rather go with a named mwd anyway, and a mapc and 200mm plate in lows. That fits with 0.0pg remaining.
Catalyzed Cold-Gas, check... 1360+ armor hp's... check... oh and I also just cap-tested that setup. If you haven't yet, go ahead... I think I just found a new lover, thank you sire. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

2 x t2 light electron blaster 2 x small knave, or better
t2 mwd 7.5 scram web
small t2 rep t2 active explosive hardener damage control
<3
I dont know off-hand what it requires to fit, but I know what I have: eng 5, elec 5, awu 3. I think CPU gets really tight with the t2 hardener, so as I recall it needs a named web and scram. Tackles decently well at 1,550m/s, can run the repper until next week while shooting and holding the target down, 64/64/omg/lol resists

Tested that out, not that good, IMO go with damage dealing guns or nos, the 75mm's just dont cut it.
I use:
4x Knave NOS AB T2, Web, 20km disruptor SAR T2, Explosive hardener T2, Capacitor flux coil
Use either T2 or best named mods, use light drones to kill enemy drones first then kill, kill, kill. Stay away from minmatar!
Works a treat :D.

Opinions please :)

3 150mm rails (and a salvager ) ab, 20km and web SAR II, Energized Reactive II and Damage Control
drones as you see fit
can go versus cruisers (stay outside 10km web/nos deathzone and still do decent dmg), eats the nos/blaster setup ishkurs alive if you get them webbed at distance and go for their drones first. will die in a very boring way if you fail to web a nos setup frig that can withstand your drone dmg.
versus an AF that is not an ishkur, i'd try a NOS/blaster setup with EC-300/600 drones. its a gamble, but a nice one.

I'm trying this. 3 75mm II 1 small nos
t2 mwd, web, scram
t2 small rep, 200mm rolled tungsten, t2 passive explosive membrane.
Seems versatile enough. I tried to fight a shark with a pistol underwater once, and I'll be damned if he didn't laugh at me and eat me. Sharks need a ******* nerf. True story.

did a little testing with pvp, pve
150's are out - sucks cap like nobody's business.
the setup i finally found attractive:
2x t2 neutron, 2x small "knave" nos 1x j5 20km warp disruptor 1x X5 web 1x 1mn t2 AB 1x n-type explosive hardner 1x beta reactor control pdu (pdu II's would puch cpu over limit if I recall correctly) 1x t2 SAR 3x t2 warrior 2x t2 valkyrie
Also tried swapping out the active explosive hardner for a named DCM - was equally appealing if I wanted to go with 3x t2 neutron. DPS was good, tankability good.
IMO as a drone boat you have to be able to stay in the fight long enough to let your drones work their magic. No tank or no cap and you're going to leave a lot of pretty drones lonely - if you can get out.
Any kind of NOS/Web at the cruiser level and you are dead, which kind of sucks. I like NOS, but Eve PvP i-win button is (still) ECM + NOS + Drones 4tw; that equation works just as well against this ship as it does when for it.
Moral: vs. cruiser with t2 nos + web/scram=quick loss of expensive ship.
Anyone have a good attack setup that can deal with the cruiser fitting multiple t2 nos + drones?

alternately switching to t2 ions will allow you to drop the pdu and fit a 200mm plate
2x ion II, 2x nos
AB, web, scramble
SAR II, DCU, 200mm
2x hammerhead II, 3x hobgoblin II
thermal drones are better 90% of the time ;)

Why both nos? With my skills I can keep running all those mods with only one nos, freeing up room for another blaster. ----

training towards AF's on this alt. I've been having a little trouble with the resists math (Im still pretty new). Could anyone give me a sense of the resists on this ship (as resists seem, with its nice drone bay, to be one of its real strong points). My skills are a little week still, with 3-4 in most armor compensation skills. I can probably extrapolate from your own resists.

Any thoughts on using PG rigs in order to fit a rack of T2 small nos + SAR II+Reactive II+DCU II?
I haven't fully explored the possibilities, but I think it's possible to fit
High:
4x S Nos II
Mid:
Cata MWD Fleeting Web\Scram
Low: TS Reactive II DCU II SAR II
Unsure if this can fit with just 1 pg rig, but I'm almost 100% certain it could with two. Is it better to just fit 2-3 Nos and use the rig slots for Em\Explo resist rigs to plug the holes? - Or perhaps Astro rigs for speed?
I'm curious as to people's experience rigging out this fine ship. ------------- The above user should never be taken seriously. |

PLEASE DO NOT FLAME:
I am still about 10days away from flying one, but why not in the medium slots fit:
1x mwd 1x scram 1x ecm II
Just wondering if this would work or if it would be a bad idea?
thx

well, unless you know exactly what you're up against, a damp would be a better choice than ecm.

If I am going to use blasters, will the damp be effective? Or because of the close range it will not work

if anything smaller ships like these should be railed and then use a damp or a tracking disrupter, the later being more effective if solo on small and larger ships.

Edited by: Fafnir Drake on 15/09/2007 11:43:52 Edited by: Fafnir Drake on 15/09/2007 11:41:38 I posted a set-up earlier in this thread. It didn't work out. Posting this one which has.
Highs: 2 "Knave" Small Nos 1. 2 75mm railgun II. Mids: X5 Prototype web, Named MWD, Tech 2 long range warp jammer (24 km range). Lows: Small Repper II, EANM II, F85 Peripheral Damage Control. Rigs: Explosive resist rig I, Aux nano pump I. Drones: Hobgoblin IIs. (I dunno. Hammerheads just seem a little slow for me. Prob have more pure damage tho)
A little spendy, but it works. Taken out a hound with this setup, and could have killed a Arazu solo (vaga warped in with arazu already into structure, vaga went on to pop me. Farker. Fire a volley at the Arazu to finish the job before aiming for me tho. So it still died.) ------ "Arguing over the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. drones as you see fit
This is pretty much my setup excet i use DC II and i get 66 on em 55 on explosive 86 on kinetic and 72 on thermal. I use Uranium in the 150mms and have AF to lvl 3 atm and their range is 15KM. I use the web to slow them down and get back out closer to my optimal range. Although the cap dosent last real long w/ everything running. For PVE i change out the disrutor for a cap recharger II.
Here is my question, what about rigs? It has two rig slots, i was thinking that 2 CCCs would benifit it most but am open to suggestions.
