I have just looked at my standings to find that I have a -0.8 with the Amarr Empire. Since I have never fired at any Amarr customs ships or done anything against the gov't, I can't understand this.
How can I find out from logs and such what has caused the Amarr empire to decrease my standing? -- My idea of an OS is one that Operates the System, not a complete package of every piece of software ever written. Computers created "The Paperless Office". But some stupid fool invented a printer |

Sorry, I can't help myself.... They don't like unimaginative people naming their characters after our famous nightelf ranger.

WoW rots your brain. The race you're looking for is Dark Elf, or Drow.

Edit: To add something relevant to the thread, I'll point out that doing missions for a given faction will eventually lower your standing with their enemies. Do some missions for the faction you're losing standing with and things will eventually balance out.

Probably derived standing, if you loose standing with someone who amarr like (like caldari for example) you will also loose some amarr standing.
It also works the opposite, gain standing with someone amarr likes and you will get some amarr standing.

Who have you been running missions for? If, for example, you run missions for a Minmatarr agent, or any corp friendly with Minmitarr it will gradually lower your standing with the Amarr Empire.

If you've run important missions for the Minmatar, Gallente, or Khanid it'll lower your Amarr standing.

Edited by: Drizit on 28/01/2006 01:54:23 The only thing I can think of is that I have set up a corp and have a Gallente member. Other than that, I have never run any missions with this character and only ever shot at blood rats which should give me a better rating with the local gov't.

Actually, his name was Drizzt from Baldurs Gate 2, the Dark Elf or Drow that you gain by completing the game the first time around. I have never played WOW so I don't know anything about their characters.
I am his brother, got a problem with that? -- My idea of an OS is one that Operates the System, not a complete package of every piece of software ever written. Computers created "The Paperless Office". But some stupid fool invented a printer |

It comes from much earlier than that, I think he was originally a character in those godawful D&D books in the '80s .

Drizzt was a dark elf rangr from the forgotten relms setting for D&D, who apeared quite often in R.A. Salvadore's books

The books in question were the Dark Elf Trilogy and the icewind dale Trilogy - as said before by R A Salvatore. They started the craze on naming things as variations on Drizzt Do'Urden
and they were around a long time before WoW was even a concept

just to set the record straight heh

If you open you standings, select the particular faction, and right click "Show Transactions", you will get a list of the events that have modified your rating. I know that the list will roll over with time, however, so it won't display anything older than a few weeks. _____________________________________________________________________ Thar be Pirates

Thanks, Just what I was looking for. Now maybe I can find out what ragged them so much that I got a knock down. A few weeks is enough I think, I have not been back online longer than a couple of months after a 6 month break with no internet I got massive withdrawal symptoms after a week -- My idea of an OS is one that Operates the System, not a complete package of every piece of software ever written. R.A. Salvatore should have stuck with childrens' books.
He completely ruined everything about the Drow that made them cool, because everyone and their mother instantly thinks of that traitorous Do'Urden guy. . .
